I would say no. Everyone seems to be on their best behaviour when you first meet them and time brings out the evil from within.

I can judge most of the time,in actions,face, comments,but some people are really good at shooting the crap just to land someone,everyone puts their best foot forward to impress,so it can be difficult???how?

TIME is our friend I keep telling people Time will bring out the very best or the very worse give everyone time to be just who they really are and than you can judge by their actions what type of person they are and if you wish to continued with their friendship or whatever you are having

I always think it's a good idea to observe how (assuming the person is a man, for right now) he:how?
and how soon?

1..treats pets/animals. Is he genuinely kind? Pets responsive? (you can't fool a dog...)
2. Talks to waiters, busboys, skycaps, porters, friends? This says a lot.
3. Attentive. Does he appear bored or anxious for it to be his turn to talk? Methodology--does he have to be "right", have the "last word"?
4. Complaining? Excessive explaining? ("I'm sorry" and "thank you" CAN be overdone).
5. Is he knowledgeable about the world around him, especially locally? This speaks volumes.
6. Get upset quickly or often? (avoid. nothing else matters if this is the case).

Most people are like onions with many layers. Sometimes it can be difficult to see the things that they hide underneath the surface. I've been wrong, I've been right and sometimes I've just never really known which is true because sometimes you'll never find out for sure. So I'm learning to trust my instincts, pay attention and hopefully have the communication skills and the ability to ascertain who the person is. Sometimes I don't think people truly even understand themselves, never mind having the ability to convey it to others.

I don't judge a person, I listen to what they have to say, if given enough time they will tell you all about themselves one way or another. Its up to you to decide if theres red flags or if they are compatible, time will tell all.
