that's exactly what i'm talking about. if you have a heart attack in canada they give you meds and send you home. here they admit you, medicate, operate if neccessary, monitor you until you're in the clear and then send you a bill in the mail. this happened to my grandfather while he was here visiting myself and some of my other family that lives here. he was so grateful that it happened here instead of a month later when he was home in canada because we all knew that he would have died if that happened. and you know what he gladly took the $40k medical bill.

Myself....4 angiograms...2 angioplasty attempts..unfortunately have 100% blockage in right artery...oh well still alive...cost to me...NOTHING!!!!

That is one story there are many that do not end up that happy. Are you aware of the fact in America privately owned hospitals do not have to see you. And usually want if you are not insured or have a form of paying for the services. Are you also aware of the fact the public hospitals that have to see you want to know up front how you are paying? And they only have to give you the minimal care if you have no forms of payment. Sadly for many minimal is not good enough It's the truth ask around. Please take note I do not throw out the word fact unless I am sure

In response to: i'm canadian. i lived in canada for 25 years...believe me you don't know health care up there. my uncle is a doctor in ontario. he's only ever needed one thing done, but you would think with all of his connections he could make some phone calls and stay in canada to have it done. he chose to fly to the mayo clinic and pay cash because of the promtness and the level of technology here. canada is literally 10 years behind in technology in most hospitals because their is no competition to drive drug and technology companies to make the best products. and the only time they charge for an ambulance in canada is if it is a so called 'false alarm'.
