There's not major science to this. Try taking a piece of re-bar
out to a fire pit. In 15 minutes you can soften it.

I was in the Military for 16 years, and I DO believe that Flight 93 was brought down by U.S.Fighter Jets. Does anybody REALLY think the Plane headed for THE WHITE HOUSE just "coincidently" was brought down in a Pa. field without any other Casualties??? Think not!!!!

I've got to admit that this is a very plausible possibility and, under the circumstances would have been a tough but defensible call (they were all going to die, anyway and shooting the plane down only manages the location of the crash site). But... there's no evidence that the plane was brought down by figher jets but there is evidence that the passengers revolted, so as believable a scenario as US fighters bringing down that plane is, I just can't accept it as a fact. The evidence doesn't support it.
