What is it about 90,000 Iraqi civilian fatalities and many orphaned childrened..About 4,000 American soldiers. No matter what way you look at it this war/occupation is wrong and immoral.

Ok, I will respond to this, though I probably shouldnt, but what the hell I am is a piss mood anyway today.

I absolutely hate the war! I absolutely hate the fact that anyone is getting shot or blown up. I think we have the stupidest president ever right now for starting this war with a country that had little or nothing to do with the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

It is absolutely horrible that anyone has died for such a stupid war. I dont get paid for the war. I see no benefits from the war. I only see how badly my sisters have to suffer when they have their babies without their husbands there. They are left to deal with everything on their own, in a place where they know hardly anyone because the military is stationed in defferent places away from friends and family.

At this point, since we already went over there and completely ruined the way of life for those people- who I have nothing against by the way and do feel very sorry for- but at this point I think it would be the worst thing we could do to pull out of there and leave that country as it is. We have cause a great devistation for that entire nation, and I think that we are responsible for cleaning up the mess we made before we leave these people to try and rebuild the nation on their own. It was our stupidity that caused it to be in disarray, and it should be us who actually does help them to get back on their feet.

My family and friends are not in the military to hurt or kill anyone. They want to help those people. In fact, I cant count the hundreds of dollars worth of food, clothing, and supplies that I personally have sent to my friends in the military to give to the children and families who have been hurt so badly over there. Last year I sent on average one box a week of various different clothes, foods, toys, and anything I could get my hands on to sent to them to try and make their lives a bit easier. I know that one person cant help the entire country, but hell thats what I could afford, and trust me, i spent more money doing that than I did on anything else all year, even gave up my vacation so i could keep sending them because the friend stationed in the red zone was telling me how bad it really was over there and how badly they were really suffering...

That being said, you are right, this war was selfish, but classifying all Americans as "you people" is complete bull shi*! You should already know that just because people live in one nation, they arent all the same, nor do they feel the same about everything that their country has done! Sure there are some who believe the war was totally necessary and dont feel bad in the least about it. I happen to not be one of those people. Thanks for the nice post, you just made my not too great of a day, that much better. You have no idea who I am or what my beliefs are, so before posting, maybe try and get a little more information next time.

You are also right that killing innocent people will have to be something that many people in this world will be held accountable for. It is illegal, and we know that, and if youtake a look, at the percentage of Americans who agree with the war and our current president, I think it is about 32% last I checked. So yes "us people" are just all a bunch of horrible horrible people arent we...

I was never for ever sending them over there in the first place, I think it was wrong to do and for a wrong reason. But now that we have it's to late. You can't go bashing in on a country rip it a part and leave it to hang in the balance. These are human beings over there. we have torn there world apart the way they have always known it. shall we just blow there world apart and then leave them to wonder aimlessly thru the desert? I do not suport my government in a lot of things and being gungho to war is one of them. But I do suport the men and women who are over there trying to do there best at bringing sanity back to them.
My brother has spent 2 tours of duty over there, As did my exfiance.
I still have friends over there.

I can just about gaurentee you that if it were written on their contracts that we would start a pointless war and they would have to go and kill innocent people who had done nothing to us, that most of our military men and women would not have signed up for it!! And, for that, not all branches of our military are the ones killing people. Only select units of certain branches are there for that purpose, and would much rather not have to kill anyone. Our military sign up to protect our country, their families and friends, not to kill anyone, not to go to another country and kill anyone there either!!

Are you counting the civilians murdered by Al Queda?

Lions led by donkeys.....unfortunately the undisciplined approach of some soldiers even allowing for them being frightened or perceived to be frightened means its easier to call in an air- strike even at "Danger Close" and the resulting blast wave will flatten most buildings in the area of the attack.

Sounds acceptable you say? Except the mantra is now were there to liberate them.

Best way of liberating people isnt to call in an airstrike in a populated area resulting in god knows how many civilian casualties.

You cant even quantify the injured or dead, there all simply unknown.....

If i hear one more idiot say learn our lessons in regard to this or another cocked up military campaign instigated by rotten corrupt imcompetant politicians i will loose my temper.

Next time a politician tells you anything, just call him or her a liar...as they are a professional liar by profession and i have nothing but contempt for all of them.

The military doesn't go to war....Parliament sends them from the Uk and the Senate sends from the States.Implication...there to blame not the military...except the ones who are trigger happy and incompetent.
