Happy Holidays to all the Obama thread participants. This is the time of "Good Will to Men in the World". Yes that includes the females of our species, who deserve it much more than the men in the world.

This has been a heck of year for this laddie. What was gleamed earlier in the year..on dNA and Islam, Sharia Law, and now later in the year on the NKorea Nuclear programs. I hope adds up for some positive changes in the world.

Will it? Nothing here is a sure thing, except that God loves us. That is the best reason to get up another day, and struggle thru it. I know it is tough. It was designed to be.

I just viewed some NASA Hubble imagery....found here. They pointed the Hubble into dark areas of the sky. So small a area, it was a grain of sand at your arm's reach. Nothing there to be seen? Right? Wrong. 1000s of expanding glaxies laid into those dark areas that Hubble imaged. Moving further into a void that no man will ever see with a star ship. And what is that void, if not more space?

A time ago they wanted to cancel the Hubble for NASA deficit cuts. Not so long as the light that is coming from these glaxies....some coming only 500,000 years after the big bang that got everything moving. But they were going to cut the Hubble. This laddie was one that said no, don't do that. We need to peer into the farthest realms of existence. We are not afraid of what is out there. (Ironically it was near the time of the Independence Day movie).

Humans are a curious but fearless species of men, women and children with vast differences of views and opinions....but with a singular purpose to over come their obstacles. If I and 1000s of other had not spoken up about keeping Hubble, we would not know that those 1000s of glaxies existed.

Your voice matters if alone or in a choir of millions.

If I was not part of CS, I would have never seen those Hubble images of far distant glaxies. Never known that the decision to keep Hubble and the pressure placed on the NASA and the Government was the right thing to do.

Our countries are all facing deficit and austerity cut backs. They (the government have over spent) but that does not mean. That programs you so truly value cannot be kept or scaled back to provide the service. There is no reason to violence because of austerity.
