Conrad73: or possibly concerned about N-Korea/Iran Ties!
This one has so many vicious come back cycles to China...that the Peking Hotel Ducks are getting nervous. When people start to ask how did NKorea make these reactors and the finger points at the next door neigbhor.....who may have broken UN Sanctions on dealing with NKorea on Nuclear developments.
I see China being bumped from the Security Council. Opps...
How does a Chinese General explain that to his not so understanding Chinese Premier.....that just had the entire Chinese National Bank Management group....sent to a worker education camp.....or worse....for the some $430b in missing American T-Bills.
It might go like this:
Chinese General: "My North Korea Reactors were compromise Comrad Premier and we were banned from the UN Security Council. I sorry to tell you this. What do you wish me to do?"
Chinese Communist Premier: "We will be lenient because of you long service to the Country and to the Communist party. In outer Monogolia, we have a border crossing with Russia, your life long duty now is to protect the border."
Chinese General:"Thank you Comrad Premier, you wish me to command this important border crossing post?"
Chinese Communist Premier: "No, we wish you to hold the stop sign to all coming Russian traffic. They get an average 3 vehicles a day there."

Rolltide8102: YOU OBSESSION WITH OBAMA IS SICK YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP. OBAMA IS THE WROST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY SO FAR. I AM SO GLADE I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM.
ttom500: Rumor flying around here....is $4 per gallon by mid summer of 2011. We at $2.90 to $2.99 now.
This is part of the plan to save the environment. Remember Obummer saying he didn't care how high gas went prior to being elected. It's a part of the plan.
StressFree: Ray, bump the Assange thread, and give us your angle on all this Wikileaks stuff---surprised you haven't said anything yet.
I think Wikileaks is, for the most part, just a distraction, a smoke screen to make people forget about other more genuine issues. Or rather to give the media something to concentrate on so that the more genuine issues get no coverage.
I don't think Assange is either a hero or a villain. I think he's either a paid agent doing what he is paid to do, or a patsy, maneuvered into position and used as justification for new repressive laws limiting freedom of speech.
One does wonder........when the republicans screamed real loud about pork-barrel spending by the Dems......do they think their own pork projects submitted were gonna go unnoticed ?
jvaski: I am simply pointing out that our newly annointed rebubs are talking out both sides of their mouths again, and seemingly omnipotent in attitude towards their claims of "Listening to the American People"
Well....none of those taking the earmark in this bill....are Tea Party elects Juan...none of the them have been oathed. So what you have is the Rhino REP....that are taking the earmarks. Many of them see the handwriting on the wall as well.
The Tea Party cut thru Rhino REP pretty well getting to the 2010.
You might have some of the REP young guns taking earmarks....to be honest I have not looked at the bill to see. If they do, mark em down as Rhino REP, ready to be shorn a horn in 2012.

Rest assured, nothing will happen until next year.
There is good news in the legislation though. The 99er's won't be getting extensions in their freebie unemployment benefits.

Until the sweep the current trailer trash out of the House, the Republicans can't do much. 60+ dems bit the dust.
HSD I doubt very much if Obama is rummaging through the drawers in his desk in the Oval Office saying " Where did I put those 3 1/2 million new jobs that was created by my stimulus bill? "They have to be in my drawers somewhere!"

You have a point.
For all their self-proclaimed conservatism and fiscal responsability, the republicans have been the big spenders compared to democrats. Reagan singlehandedly doubled the national debt during his term due to his star-wars initiative producing weapons that never even worked.
Democrat politicians spend on entitlement programs which translates into buying votes.
Republican politicians spend on weapons systems and wars, which translates into buying themselves a comfortable retirement.
I think we should arm both the democrats and republicans and let them fight it out on a desert island. .

They are probably stacked in the basement alongside Sadam's weapons of mass destruction.
It was not the REP that put together the most recent 1.1 trillion spending bill, guys. Nancy Pelosi..comes on TV.....talk about how the a section of the tax cuts....are going to result in a 80b increase in the deficit.
All the time, She and Reid are thinking about how to get 1.1 trillion in gov't spending passed the Congress
When it all do and said here....most of the REP will vote against the spending bill and most DEM will vote for it.
Now I am not saying 80b is figure to qwible about. But compared to 1.1 trillion

Besides, our "quagmire" is already being paid for with our republican representatives refusal to regulate any corporations who fee and control us
