Assange is fighting extradiction to Sweden......and you are saying he was just turn himself over to Obama for being tried here in the US? Then Assange must have so much on Obama's administration that he think that he can get off the charges.
Assange hole racket was about extortion. Hacker would give him sensitive materials....they would say....to the hackee....give $1m or our friend here at Wikileak will go public with them. Assange tried it twice with the Federal government himself.
Both times before the DoD document release and the State Depart release.....then Assange said....I am going to release the documents some time in the future. That time is used to cut deals and extort funds.Only the US government was not buying. Now did Assange do it directly? Likely not.
But has one of his 100,000 hacker friends send a email to some Government official saying he has back channel to Assnage. For money he can open the channels and get the documents back.
