Yes Ccincy, he didn't promise, he just made it sound like a promise complete with a deadline for bringing ALL our boys home! I wonder if HSD ever thinks about how vunerable two wars and massive debt makes our country? Is it his age or what?? He is doing more to divide the parties than even Sarah Palin and her endless celebrity.

Below is just one of many promises he didn't keep.
Broken promise No. 7: Bring troops home in 16 months
On his campaign website, Obama promised he would "remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months."
His commitment to bring combat troops home by May 20, 2010, and end the war gave him an edge among Democrats over candidate Hillary Clinton.
However, on Feb. 27, Obama declared, "Let me say this as plainly as I can: By Aug. 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end."
If Obama adheres to his plan, combat troops will return home months later than originally promised. The New York Times reports, Obama will withdraw only two of the 14 brigades before December.
As part of a "new era of American leadership," he also said he would leave behind a residual force of 35,000 to 50,000 troops and remove all U.S. soldiers from Iraq by Dec. 31, 2011 – the same deadline the Bush administration negotiated with the Iraqi government last year in its Status of Forces Agreement.
Additionally, some combat units would remain in Iraq beyond Obama's declared August 2010 withdrawal. Rather than returning home, they would simply face reassignment as "advisory training brigades."
Even as combat troops are brought home, Pentagon officials have said fresh units will continue deploying to Iraq.
HSD I forgot to mention that the info I just posted about the troops being brought home in 16 months I copied/pasted off a list of promises that Obama broke.

Of course wars are absolutely dammagable for America and even the war in Afghanistan is absolutely a necessary war... I wished America took all troops home by the way and took care of the terror situation if necessary by usage of intelligent war fare instead ... America needs her money more than ever and god knows the money used in these two wars could taking care of a huge part of all american problems very soon and the Deficit would be gone in a year ot two and lots of new jobs and so on would be created too... but what can I say? Obama would gain huge popularity in no time if he announced this bringing back home all ameircan troops from Afghanistan and Iraq in two mounths for example and he knows this too... but ! this situation is not this Easy any way decide on people say...
Why should we fight that far form home in those absolutely hostile areas any way when we can fight them from far a way and intelligently if and when necessary? I hate it when hearing young children of people are killed and destroyed in minds because of these wars and feeling disapointed why these wars not ending here and now... what can one do?
Still supporting our troops whole heartedly and beleive they shall have the best possible equipment and care and support when at war and when home receiving the best possible veteran benefits and job possibilities and education and respect and admiration of course.

I am sure it is impossible to expect full employment in Ameirca or any other countries. I am pretty sure a lot jobs cna be created by taking care of the very horrible situation regrading ameircna infrastructur because that one have been neglected for too many years and both houses putitng it a side each time their is a suggestion regrding that. millions of new jobs can be creted that way and modred roads and stuff will be a true energy injection to americna economy!
Beside millions of jobs in green energy as well if America decides to get on that rrain many other countries are making a lot money from already. Green jobs saved Germany from Recession for example and Brazil and china and else where are experiencing the exact same because of the same.
The problem is are both parties really ready to support these attempts? Republicans are shooting any suggestions in those directions off as if "Russians are coming" or some thing!
If other countries can create jobs that way why can,t America?

Beck Said Van Jones.....said something similar after he was fired at a liberal rally. Said the liberals were going to have to press Obama to to keep the social change agenda, else he would have reason to stay mid road.
But the term is a old communist term.....that once Communist gained power, they would cause distress in the country. Then the people would be forced to relay on them more for safety and security. Hence the term....
