johnaustin123: Sometimes God speaks to us with Music. Call him what you want in any religion, Allah, Universal Mind…whatever. God is the same in all Religions, only His name is changed by Mankind. This is something we can all agree on.

You are now contradicting youself. If God does not to unbelievers, how is it that God speaks to any and all through music.???

Also God did not create religion, which all peoples should realize. There is no right or wrong religion.

If you shine a flashlight into the sky, it creates photocells.

These cells are alive. The first cell can communicate to the last cell, thus NASA has attached a very small robotic computer to the last cell. We are travelling at the speed of light out of our Universe.

That is how they can see past our Universe. There are no reports from NASA yet that we can see.

As I don't know you, I am unsure about your sense of humour,

Off topic my friend RDM59

Now you will see my sense of humor.

The Smart Blonde

A blonde and a lawyer are seated next to each other on a flight from LA to NY. The lawyer asks if she would like to play a fun game? The blonde, tired, just wants to take a nap, politely declines and rolls over to the window to catch a few winks. The lawyer persists and explains that the game is easy and a lot of fun. He explains, "I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me $5.00, and vise versa."

Again, she declines and tries to get some sleep.

The lawyer, now agitated, says, "Okay, if you don't know the answer you pay me $5.00, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500.00."

This catches the blonde's attention and, figuring there will be no end to this torment unless she plays, agrees to the game.

The lawyer asks the first question. "What's the distance from the earth to the moon?"

The blonde doesn't say a word, reaches into her purse, pulls out a $5.00 bill and hands it to the lawyer. "Okay," says the lawyer, "your turn".

She asks the lawyer, "What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four legs?"

The lawyer, puzzled, takes out his laptop computer and searches all his references, no answer. He taps into the air phone with his modem and searches the net and the library of congress, no answer. Frustrated, he sends e-mail to all his friends and coworkers, to no avail. After an hour, he wakes the blonde, and hands her $500.00.

The blonde says, "Thank you," and turns back to get some more sleep.

The lawyer, who is more than a little miffed, wakes the blonde and asks, "Well, what's the answer?"

Without a word, the blonde reaches into her purse, hands the lawyer $5.00, and goes back to sleep.

(to anyone and everyone) I watched a dvd the other day about the universe, and the program very interestingly projected inward, as well as outward, as well. Now, research and education have always been at the forefront of my adult life, and I believed myself to be fairly well read, but I just learned that there are smaller particles than atoms! (called 'quarks'). Also, all the intricate details of dna chains, the nucleus' of parameciums are a sort of "brain", there are so many fine details one must believe in a higher power. Once upon a time I read something that went like (correct me if I'm wrong) "I discovered the earth in a dewdrop, and the universe in a flower". Isn't all this just awesome? I think so--

We humans are very creative. We invented theory for everything.
Why will not accept things as they are.
In relation to God, this is personal, but we can see the essence in all things. When we're not worried about things fleeting

The Bible vs. The Book of Mormon

DNA vs. The Book of Mormon

I wrote and told this joke on the radio last Christmas. Two very popular television comedians from our area (Big Chuck and Little John) had retired and we were joking with them about going back to work on television again to tell jokes. I told them that they may use the joke if they went back on television. Everyone laughed!

An American Astronaut, a Russian Cosmonaut and Big Chuck / Little John were at a world press conference held by news reporters to ask them questions about what they planned to do next in space.

The news reporter asked the American Astronaut: “What is America going to do in space”?

The astronaut replied: “We are going back to the moon. We found water there and we want to bring it back to Earth for the Nations that need water”.

The reporter was impressed.

He asked the Russian Cosmonaut: “What is Russia going to do in space”?

The Cosmonaut replied: “We are going to Mars. We believe that there is life on Mars and we want to bring the Life back to Earth for study”.

The reporter was again impressed.

The reporter looked at Big Chuck and Little John.

He asked them: “What are you two going to do in space”?
Big Chuck and Little John replied: “We are going to the Sun”.

Everyone laughed.

The reporter said to them “you can’t do that! You will burn up”!

Big Chuck and Little John thought about that for a while, and then they had the answer.

Big Chuck and Little John replied: “No, we will not burn up! We will go at night!”

gonna jump off the deep end here for a minute, but here it goes!

One of the reasons why we have so much trouble trying to "figure it out" is because our "tools" are limited to what we know and can conceive of in the here and now. Time, for instance, is nebulous and relative only to the exact placement of objects in space. (Have you ever noticed that a minute isn't always 'a minute' ??) Know what I mean? Also, we just can't get it thru our heads that maybe, just maybe, the cosmos always HAS been. (We have this need to have a "beginning"). (I am not arguing creation , btw). It's difficult to grasp, but the question would be, what BEFORE a beginning? We are trying to figure it all out with very rudimentary supplies. Know what I mean?

Yes rohaan

I've been watching your posts, and they are a couple of the deepest and well thought out on the thread.

The curvature of light, time travel and Einstein’s theory of relativity, E=MC2.

No matter if you walk, run, drive a car or fly in an airplane, you travel into the future. You cannot travel backwards.

I agree, there was no beginning. This is almost impossible to grasp. It's about time the human race threw off the shackles of simplistic thinking from 1000's of years ago. Surely we know a million times more than those people who hadn't moved out of caves or climbed down from trees a short while before.

BTW John, don't you read your mail?

Looking at the poll results, I see no votes for Accident.

This would be the most popular vote for an Atheist.
