The Big Bang Theory is back in the news. I rather call it the Big Boom Theory, because that is larger.
The first words of the Bible say: In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. Some Biblical Historians say that scientists have plotted our Sun for 100 years and that the Sun’s shrinkage shows that our Earth is only 6000 to 10,000 years old.
What about Carbon Dating which shows our Earth to be almost 4 Billion old?
Pope Benedict made a statement on Thursday about this. He basically related the Star of Bethlehem as proof of Gods work in creation and that other life creation by God may exist in other Solar Systems and Galaxies.
The Multi (Multiple) Universe theory is also interesting. It says that our Universe was created by a collision with another Universe, which started the Big Boom for ours.
Ohhhh boy!! now you've really thrown down the gauntlet for ALL the pseudo-intellectual Atheists on this site - but no matter what they say the challenging question still remains - Who caused the Big Bang? and no doubt they will turn that to, what caused the big bang!! and so it goes on and on and on in their feeble little minds, constantly trying to disprove the obvious with the less obvious. Enjoy the thread.

You really dont see the irony of your words do you
The most recent popular theory is that life is contained within itself. In other words, an example is our human body. Active life is contained. The inner bodies are created by outer bodies like dust and gasses.
Hubble telescope has already seen beyond our current Universe (Past the Big Bang) and has seen another universe.

"pseudo-intellectual"? You must not consider yourself a pseudo-intellectual. What are you then? A real as opposed to pseudo intellectual?
"...the challenging question still remains - Who caused the Big Bang?" It appears that you ascribe to the "Big Bang Theory". That's very interesting because the "Big Bang" was formulated by scientists. Nowhere in your "good book" will you find any mention of a big bang as being the beginning of the universe. Genesis doesn't say "In the biginning there was a big bang". Personally I doubt the universe started with a big bang and have said so with a large amount of contrarian evidence. But that is the beauty and strength of science. Anybody can challenge and question the existing accepted explanations for everything because it isn't cast in stone like religeous dogma is. Religeon tells you what to believe and to shut up and don't ask questions. People who do, you call feeble minded when in truth they are far from feeble minded. In fact they are the most OPEN minded because they don't accept everything they were spoon fed from early childhood.
What is it that you find so obvious? Is it as obvious as the sun and stars travel across the sky from east to west therefore the whole universe must revolve around the earth? Isn't that what your church use to believe? Even jailed Galileo for saying otherwise?
BTW, this is the very same reason a "born again" George Bush ordered that none of the remaining space shuttle missions be used to repair the Hubble Space Telescope. The church remembered what happened when Galileo got his grubby mitts on a telescope and they didn't want a repeat of THAT. At the time he claimed it would be "too dangerous". Since when is docking with a humongus space station less dangerous than fixing a telescope? Most people missed the real reason behind that decision. It was glaringly obvious to a veteran dot connector like me though.
