This is to all the ladies (although I am sure that all the guys will have plenty to say too!! )
Do you like it or loath it when your guy calls you sweetie, honey, baby, sugar, babe, darling etc If so, which ones do you like and which ones do you loath?
I can't stand "babe" but years ago when an American boyfriend of mine used to call me "baby", I loved it!! How fickle the female of the species is eh? ..... Or is that just me

If it is from someone dear to me no problem. Someone I don't know well. Well not such a good thing for me It makes me more cautious of them if I don't know them well and sometimes I get Yes yes you are right we are a fickled species. At least I am

I think it's all in the intent and delivery. If it's offered with love it is very cool.

So you don't like it when the builders lean off their scaffolding and shout out "Ello Darlin'" I didn't used to like that, but I would probably think of it as a term of endearment nowadays!!

I am very fussy when it comes to endearing terms. It all depends on who is calling me them though. if its just a friend im ok with sweetie or honey (hon). Although if its my partner I HATE being called baby, and bunny!! If im called one of those I usually tell em I have a name so use it. I relate those two to having someone on the side and you dont wanna confuse the names...idk why, I just do. Anything else is fine though! Guess im fickle too!

I would most likely hollar back "Ello Darlins" I have no sense
kidatheart: Nope, I don't vote on the polls, just elections. I call a friend of mine "poo poo", have for about a dozen years now. I told her it's a term of endearment in French, she doesn't believe me though.
Well that is a bunch of poo I am keeping my eye on you and read everything you say twice now.

LOL - I like all of the names listed, including Baby... but I wouldn't care to be called Bunny!! (I guess b/c it kinda sounds like something from the 60's beach movies)
Happygolucky4u: Hmmmmm. Never been around a british builder.
Well, put it this way....when you are all bundled up in your layers in the winter, they never say anything, but in the summer, when you've got your shorts and tee shirt on, THEN they shout out to you! Grrrrrrrrr

They be full of Blarney when they lean over the scaffolding to mock a woman walking by.
However, it that person leaning asks me to go for a cup of Joe, then I may pay them some attention
