JMNEISHA: i met this really nice guy on cs site and fell deeply in love with him. but the thing is, he had an accident and broke on of his legs. he now have a plate in it. what should i do
How is a person with a broken leg with a plate in it considered disabled? You need to look up the difinition of disabled.
Well, here is the opinion of one who is blind but has learned to live independantly. A lot of people stop there (not just girls) and think that blind is all we are. Naturally, if I needed help 24/7 a day, I could understand some or much apprehension. But it's not the case with me and yet... the mere mention of it seems to cause people not to get close

I'm not sure I understand where the problem is ...
Unless you are totally into extreme sports and felt strongly about him sharing in your activities

To me that is not disabled. If he can still walk, and just has a plate then he is fine.
I broke my hip in one leg and have pins and bolts. It was just as good as the other until I tried to do bootcamp hell dancing. I ended up with the same leg developing a pinched nerve. I still dance, etc, but am going through physical therapy so that both legs have the same strenth. It's a pain, but accidents happen.
I also got through it without pain pills. I did not want to get hooked on them.
Sometimes true disabled people have more guts and will power than those that work and are couch potatoes.

Arlene101: Do I get this right that he broke one of his legs and has a plate in it? You think he is disabled? I think you should dump him so he can meet a very real and great woman. Jeeezuss!
Arlene...can't help but agree...wonder how she would feel if she were married to a guy and he became disabled....would she divorce him????

This is nothing at all, this would never bother me. About dating disabled otherwise, it depends on what it is, he must still be physically attractive to me. I am disabled myself in a way and dated many people. I have AS and social phobia, but I can get pass through, I have my special ways.
tstone61: yes I would also date somone who is diaabled as long as they are dealing with it in a positive way and had them self together emotionaly and mentaly .
I see no major problems . & yes i would . its when youv been through things in your own life you work through them , i have & still do , i know my weakness & can handle pain & thats extreme pain as well.
Ill tell you what tho it can make or break you in a relastion ship. or it can make you very strong to gether, & yes there can be hurdles to over come , & when you do that , then is there a problem , not in my book ,
Most people are disabled in some way, could be mental or physical. Its whats inside a person, their heart, their spirit, their attitude that really matters, not a handicap.
When I was younger I would have said no, to be honest. But know it would be ok, but depending on the severity of course ! I wouldn't want to be a full time nurse.

I reckon that every bloke who disables his social forum tools and too lazy to reconnect has a disability...
Well, time for a buzz hey????
I will tinkle U...
I am sorry merri but I got tickled when I read this. In my parts alot of times if a lady needs to go to the restroom she will say I need to go tinkle. I don't think you meant it in that context. But the difference in languages bought a smile to my face. I think sometimes that sadly language is where a lot of our misunderstandings begin. But just in case R might want to stand back untill he sees what kind of tinkle you are giving
