It was taken in April this year.

We were on holiday . . .
Not too far from where I live . .. about 70km away.

But its not the first time we see them this close. They become quite passive when they are constantly exposed to humans.

I guess that's a decision we all have to make for ourselves. And since everybodies personality and situations are different, I guess it boils down to to each his own.

Personally, if faced with that decision, I'd like to think that I would fight , but once again, I won't know until I get there . . .

I like the way you've put this, but I'm not totally convinced that that's all there is to it.
Like you I've never been married, so I can't speak from personal experience, but my folks have been married for close on to 50 years. If they were the only case in question, then I suppose I could put it down to them being either too stubborn to let go, or too in love to go without the other. (I believe its the latter )

But I look at many of their peers, and there are very few divorces in their generational group.

I believe from observing them, that it costs work to make a relationship work.
If I can't find something like that, I don't think I want anything else.

We also used to go for 3 or 4 course meals, nowadays, its down to less elaborate setting, but incorporating a meal which we might not take the time to prepare during the week.

ALso it still tends to be a bit more relaxed and a time to sit and converse.
