Hi John...Late in commenting here but living near Cape Girardeau, Mo I am near a part of Trail of Tears State Park with a museum dedicated to telling the story of the Cherokee people and their forced march thru this part of Missouri. I have taken some visitors with me to see this museum on 2 different occasions and each time have felt an immense sadness for the Cherokees. Visiting there is an eye opener to the pages of history...I will never be an admirer of Andrew Jackson again now that I know of his role in this tragedy. Thanks for posting this video also to tell of the deep injustice that our Native Americans suffered at the hands of this government.
Ken....Thanks and I will mark the day on the calendar...if it passes that time and still going strong...big celebration time! :)))) Sorry to hear about you and Poulan chainsaws....maybe I can report good things about their riding mowers!
Ken...Impressive work done by your DR. I am the one who was looking for riding mower for 1.5 acres of mowing. Told you I would let you know what I found..after much seeking/comparing and webcrawling....basically my local area here is out of many mowers and I did not want to wait for something to be ordered in. I purchased a Poulan Pro 46" cut rider with 22 hp Kohler engine...the model I bought is new this year so I was not able to read any reviews on it....guess I will be one who writes one of the first! Not so confident about buying without past reviews but it is doing good job so far! I heard some good things word of mouth about Kohler engines...will hope all holds true!....Avias
Hey Alien Species...I do not know of any "simple woman" just I do not know of any "simple man" on this world...you will be disappointed to discover that all are a complex mixture...often misunderstood and yet wishing to find one who can understand us. Keep exploring but don't judge us all too harshly....we really are quite lovable when you take time to know us!
Sands..... Really funny to watch but maybe not for those who are on receiving end from the goat! Yeah, goats are ornery critters (as we say here)....they are also escape artists and very difficult to contain in any kind of enclosure. My relatives had 4 goats inc a billy goat....they were always lose from their pen and I personally witnessed one "belly crawl" out from under the wire fencing on the pen....where there was any avenue of escape, they would find it! Then to finish this story their choice on the food chain always involved the most expensive of the landscaped plants....they would head for the Japanese maples and other pricey plantings and finish the food course with the front porch petunias and other bedding plants. Yes, they had weapons of mass destruction...themselves! So finally enough was enough with this bunch and there was really no good reason to continue this battle with them on escaping...it was clear the goats were winning! They all took the long ride to the local sale barn where some other poor soul would no doubt buy them! Thanks for posting this video about the goat...brings back memories....Avias
Hi Nam...Enjoying reading your blog/log of your trips along the highways..not exactly the most enjoyable way for you to "see the USA" but definitely gives you glimpses of places most will not see. I do my share of highway/interstate driving and know about the "Special People" ...but not being one, all I can do is sympathize since I see them and often wonder how far they will get before they try to occupy the same space that another car or semi already has! Hoping you stay safe...thanks for the blogs.... ..Avias
Ken...Red or black raspberries...are there also yellow ones? They would be cultivated no doubt and not wild.....any color will do...love them! My grandparents had a big black raspberry patch in their garden and there is where I first found out about black raspberries! Getting them off the bush was a bit tricky but once I knew about their taste...I was definitely motivated! Enjoy your raspberry harvest...you lucky person!!!
...Hope u r sleeping well there in Lalaland! I am going to research the present day Franco Nero...as Legs and I may form a fan club for him and you also for "going with the flow" on the present comments! And we can say it all started here on your blog!: ...Congrats!
Cat...Back to the original discussion about your article...that is a most beautiful and also enlightening story...shows the depth of their relationship and also what the wife had accomplished in spite of her so called handicap! People are truly amazing! Thanks for the posting...Avias
"As for # 1 - 50 What about just area 0 and every other area being an inter-dimensional portal projecting other planes of existence onto ours wow Perhaps I'm from one uh oh"
Well, that explains alot and now I will sleep better at nite (or anytime) knowing that "they" walk among us!
Be careful out there Nam...keep those eyes open! Enjoyed reading what you've seen..think I've seen some of those same signs you saw in Missouri..Avias:: And for doin your job of trucking.
Going back in traditions...do we ever wonder how things get started? Seems like wife would enjoy using husbands name as form of bonding in the marriage. Very interesting but does not lead to true intimacy between husband and wife when abiding by the older traditions. Good to know that those in more urban areas have broken from this. ...Avias
Ian...Life changes our outlooks over time...maybe life still has some surprises for you and your daughter...who can truly say? It is good to read that you realize how special she is....your heart is on the right path....hoping time leads to happiness shared by you both....Avias
You are talkin the best eating...love those black raspberries! Glad you can still eat them! Used to have wild ones growing in an alley (not on anyone's property) and would make the rounds seeing if they were ripe! Ummm Ummm good!
