RE: New report out of Harvard indicates that social distancing may be necessary until 2022 if no vaccine

I think that people should be prepared that their life won't be the same until the vaccine. Even with the vaccine, there will be a lot of sick and dead people around (all those that don't want to get a vaccine and - as I can see - there's A LOT of them) and a lot of pressure on medical system while trying to help those who are against vaccination. So, those against the vaccine will again make a lot of problems for all of us.

Until we get the vaccine we will have to practice some way of social distancing and some special measures.

If they never discover the vaccine, I don't know what's going to happen... Maybe we will all get sick and become immune in time and - maybe not. Maybe we will get ill over and over and over again until only the strongest ones survive... Nobody can tell. dunno

RE: Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse

I know nothing about your question, but I must say that your virus protection (that plastic ? bag on your head) looks hilarious. laugh

RE: Yay!

Whenever I used to come on CS in the past - 90% of all the blogs were about Trump, so I rarely ever read or wrote anything here and decided to stick to the forums. Now - 90% of all the blogs are about the virus. I'm not sure if that's an improvement... confused

RE: The Virus....what I heard

The only thing we can do is to take care not to get infected until the vaccine appears. That's why we have this isolation and everything...

Viruses aren't living things like bacteria and they are here far longer than we (humans) are.

RE: Because of Coronavirus

What else could you expect when the reptiles run this flat planet?! dunno

RE: Shaving...

You can decide not to shave until the battle against the virus ends. As a statement! laugh

RE: God Did It

God realized we are the project that went bad and decided to start all over again. laugh

RE: Aren’t They Cute?

They remind me too much of humans and that we are nothing but a little more developed animals. laugh

RE: Becoming a wolf

They explained everything in the movies...

It's very painful to become a wolf. When a man becomes a werewolf he always screams, roars and yells. If you want to become one - you should get bitten or at least scratched by another werewolf.

How about putting an ad?

RE: Pardon Me For Saying So.

What have you (members of this place) done to all those people in order to make them become so jaded and hate you so much? You must have hurt them really badly...

RE: How does it feel...?

Much more exhausting and demanding than being a forumer, as I can see here.

On forums - you write what you want when you want. Even if you start a thread you can forget about it.

But on blogs, you have to read every comment, you have to reply to everyone, you have to compliment and agree and show interest and concern and remember facts about people and pretend that you are great friends with them...

Although it's actually the same - both are virtual worlds and you have no idea what kind of people are those you communicate with.

RE: Announcement

Maybe you change your mind again and we read the announcement after all. wink

RE: Has every thing you said..?

Maybe, but you are different from any other, so even if you said the same - it sounds different when said by you. wine

RE: No games but fun and real

Even if you are honest and real - if others are not - you will feel like a fool in the end.

RE: A blast from the past

Once you leave for a long time - you should never come back.

I made that mistake once and will never repeat it again.

These people are smart to leave the past to be the past. wine

RE: Parable of the Blind and Deaf.

@JimNastics

Thank you for your compliments. wine

I'm not a native English speaker and my English is full of mistakes. Being mistaken and mixed with a native English speaker is really rare flattery. I've never thought that my English is so good. wine

As I previously said, I play some games online and - Americans are the ones who pay the most. The games are alive because Americans pay a lot of money for playing and most of that money is completely unnecessarily spent on hoarding, competing and greed. The games tried to be international at first and although they do have many players from other countries - those players simply don't spend so much as Americans. So they got American-oriented.

In one of the games - the last week was all about American's holiday July 4th. As you can imagine, the rest of the world is not at least interested in that American holiday and many have never even heard of it, but we adapted and patiently waited until Americans finished waving with their flags and adoring their country so we could continue playing normally. After all - they pay for all of us to play... dunno

I know that American people are generally badly-informed about the rest of the planet, hardly know and even less care about anything except their own country and think that they are loved all over the world, that everyone envies them and wants to come to their country, etc, etc. Rather ignorant people. But, then, they are rich and they spend a lot so ... everyone tolerates them. What can one do? dunno

I don't come often - I haven't been here for 2 months - was too busy and I keep my profile hidden, because I cannot deal with messages at the moment. But I enjoy to drop by from time to time, although I enjoy forums more. There's nothing much to read on blogs anyway.

Stay well and enjoy! cheers

RE: Parable of the Blind and Deaf.

I'm on holiday at the moment, so I'm chilling out and checking various websites and applications I haven't visited for months. laugh

Greetings to all! wave

RE: Parable of the Blind and Deaf.

I noticed something about people who enjoy discussing politics. It seems that it makes them feel important. As if they become politicians themselves while doing it.

It's like a sport for some people. They cheer their team up and - for a moment - they ARE that team and they feel the connection and belonging to something bigger than themselves.

I think it's one of the reasons why political discussions are so popular and passionate.

RE: Online dating sites dying?

After writing a post on this blog, I got locked out of CS and couldn't log in any more. I continuously got the message that my profile does not exist. I thought that CS deleted my profile because of writing on this blog. It got me very upset. I should have written on funny blogs and threads only.

It was short, but it was fun. I liked this social network part of CS more than a CS dating site.

Stay well and take care! wave

RE: Online dating sites dying?

@pKrema

Thanks for helping me make a decision.

This site is not what I'm looking for.

wave

RE: Online dating sites dying?

You are right. There's no use in complaining. laugh

I'm just astonished and sad how fast (?) these dating sites have became so bad. Being an expat, living here and there, I heavily relied on the internet to meet new people. It's hard when you are in a foreign country, especially if you don't speak the language well. My options are shrinking and I guess I started panicking a little. laugh

RE: Online dating sites dying?

Maybe there's a lot of real men in your area.

RE: Scruffy Car

How about make a promise to all of us that you will post the photo of your nice clean car on CS and we will be astonished and amazed and give you many compliments and you will feel great? beer

RE: Everything you ever done.

roll eyes roll eyes roll eyes

I haven't used it...

RE: Song to cheer up track

RE: Everything you ever done.

I must admit that I personally threatened some people on another forum that I would make voodoo dolls for them if they continue to get on my nerves. laugh

RE: Online dating sites dying?

Actually I don't. I've been deleting profiles and leaving sites one by one. laugh

I'm still not sure whether to delete this profile as well or stay for fun on forums and blogs. confused

I have to think about it.

RE: Everything you ever done.

Moderators or administrators of any site have your IP address and can track you down. There are ways to hide your IP address, of course, but it's also not a guarantee.

People can fool around publicly, but that's just for public. The site owners know who you are and if you do something inappropriate that is against the law - they can turn you down to the police.

People aren't really anonymous on the internet. Nobody cares about most things people write and post online, but if you plan to rob a bank - be sure not to talk about it - not only publicly, but in your private messages, e-mails and everything else connected to the internet. laugh

RE: Scruffy Car

How about driving a car to some remote place (with water) and wash a car (and dance) there? Nobody would know... hole

RE: Scruffy Car

Think about this as a new challenge!
