Unfortunately, voting for either party these days...means voting for whom the DNC or RNC favors...
Both parties are corrupt...from Trump’s not going through the boxes of papers because there may be a golf shirt mixed in them....to Biden not knowing about Hunter’s shell businesses..or that his son was making millions for other family members...
DeSantis is just another tyrant..his way or the highway....
I would just ignore it Chat...generally, when people talk about others, they are in some way jealous of them...It is their own insecurities that make them talk about others.
As for DH closing...it was a free-for-all in the last few months...pretty much unmonitored...
I hung out in the 50s group...I was too young then, to see in the 60s...And, in that group was where most of the music was posted...
In my opinion, the format of that site was much better...Age groups, a place for just politics, a place for sports, etc....and, if it was not on topic, it was moved to the correct area.
Anyways...life is way to short to try to get along with those who do not want to get along...
I have that planned for summer 2025...I will fly to Seattle and spend a week with my son...then we are going to go on a Alaskan cruise...It is one thing I have always wanted to do....I am taking my granddaughter with me too...
I have not been in the blogs as long as many of you have...Another site I was on (DH) had blogs...The only one I did read was a man from New Jersey, who put up you tube videos about his life. Mainly, drunk and entertaining in a Jerry Springer type of way...
My reference to you being mean-spirited was making a thread for CC...He is young and I tend to feel protective of those who are younger than me...Maybe, the mother instinct in me.

I thank you for respecting my opinions....I have always been open minded to other’s opinions...Just as in real world relationships...neither person is always right or always wrong....Imagine how much better the world would be..if people would just listen...and, maybe see something in another way...
Actually, it has been very popular with minorities in my state....It gives ANY parent the right to choose a better school, than the one they are districted to attend....
Teacher unions proved they do not have the children’s best interests when they shut down schools...way past when they should have been...and, the math and reading scores prove just that.....
Left and right have hurt women....
Right with refusing to leave religion out of the right to choose...
And, left with supporting a man to compete against a woman in sports....

Two more days, and then I have a vacay....My son is flying in from Washington...
First time in almost a year, I will spend good family time with those I love most...
Allowing our children to have a fair chance to become better than our children’s generation....

Every generation has done better than the last...that is what has been destroyed in the last decade and will continue if we do not have a message that provides us to unite...
He needs to show a kinder, gentler side..the exact opposite of Trump...
I think he needs to concentrate on the positive things he could do...
Like the school choice which gives parents' the choice to take the money and go to a private school...or, charter school...or one that fits their child’s learning needs...
Focus on how he is going to make the economy better....
Have a plan not just a campaign slogan...
Trump will make mincemeat of anyone running against him...
But, if Trump can’t keep his mouth shut...DeSantis needs to just let it fall off his back.
I worry more about a country that has two people who are unfit to be president...both the forerunners in the next election.
I worry about children being shot in schools and a government who has no answers...I see people who can not afford the rent to live in the town they grew up in.
I see all of this as nothing but another reason that both sides of the political spectrum has failed the people.
Many people are afraid of the rising crime and the unwillingness of either side to budge from the far left and far right extremist views one both sides.
I only see things getting worse...if, both Biden and Trump do not step down from running again.
