Just as you see body shaming...they see you shaming them for voting for Trump...
My point about WWII..is I always thought we knew what was going on all across Europe..but the press was suppressing the news here...We did not know the atrocities that were taking place...They never told us that when I was in school..I thought how the heck could we turn or backs and not get involved...
And, what we did to Japanese US citizens, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor..also so wrong...
The press and our government had an agenda...to withhold this from it’s citizens...
Anyways...my opinion is Trump is still a criminal...and he is a con...
But, the working class and middle class will vote for him...because Biden and the Democratic Party...has given them no other choice...They feel like they have been pushed to the wall...and, when you push so many so far...they will vote for the opposite...
If Biden steps down, and they pick a more viable candidate...and more moderate..
It just never made sense to me...How we patted ourselves on the back for being such a caring country...and, let so many needlessly die...
When I discovered that the government knew...but did not allow the people to know...it kinda made a light bulb go off...They tell us what they want us to know...
The news is now..mostly opinion...both sides...
I try to be fair....but, right now the government does not care about we the people...
I think when we only watch mainstream media our views can be obscured...
I remember learning about WWII in school..and always wondering why the US did not come to the defense of the Jews earlier...
After attending a field trip with my son in middle school...It was an independent movie about the Holocaust. It was then, I learned that the US government knew...but, the news media did not tell it to the public...
European countries were sheltering Jews..but, we were not allowed to...
Interestingly enough the president FDR was a Jew...
The news has always had an agenda...it is good to question some things...
You have to do it for yourself..not for a man or someone else...
I gained weight when my husband died...Brought on by heavy drinking and eating for comfort... One day I looked in the mirror and did not like what I saw...
I stopped drinking all alcohol, and gave up sodas...I also began walking...it really is good exercise and it helps boost your mood...
The other things I gave up... Cracker Barrel Sharp Cheddar Cheese..(I could not eat a few pieces, the whole block would be gone), Peter Pan Honey Roasted Creamy Peanut Butter...(the whole jar would be gone, before I knew it.)...and coffee ice cream..(same thing, the whole half-gallon would be poof)...
I also started working out with weights...it helps boost the metabolism...
You are very attractive and you have a great personality....You just need to do it for yourself...
Baby steps...and when you see the results...it is worth it.
I do not know the breeding habits of the Amish..not my business.
As for Mennonites, my son-in-law's father was raised as a Mennonite. He left the church when he turned 18.
A few years after that, his father left the church.
They still attend church..just are not of the Mennonite faith.
I can only say, that they have showed me with their actions, that they have good hearts. They are wonderful grandparents to my grandchildren, and that is all that matters to me.
They also accept my son..they treat him with kindness...and my daughter’s mother-in-law knows he loves her homemade chicken salad....She always makes it for him, when she knows he is going to be back in his hometown...
When I was 9 my father had two surgeries within 6 weeks...First, was an appendectomy and the second was a cholecystectomy. He had used all his PTO..and we were always living paycheck to paycheck...There was not very much food left in the house...
A lady who had passed away from the church we attended, gave my parents an antique dining room table and chairs...My mom was a very simple person..and one night, she began taking the upholstery off the chairs...To our surprise, she found three, fifty dollar bills hidden in the layers of upholstery...
That money kept our lights on and fed us until my dad went back to work...
They are good people...and, very hard working people too...
I think people have stereotypes of people...and tend to judge by that....
Many are in the construction industry. My late husband sub-contracted work out to many of them..Because he knew they did good work and they stood behind their work...
Many come to my area in the winter...They come on charter buses or hire someone to drive a 12-passenger van...
They generally live in Ohio or Pennsylvania...
Many come into the liquor store and buy whiskey, rum, or the makings of Long Island Ice Tea...I once asked one of the men.."I thought you were not allowed to drink alcohol.” He replied, “We can once in awhile."..I said to him..”What happens in Pinecraft stays in Pinecraft"...
He thought it was so funny..
People are people Grand...generally they show who they are by their actions.
I was surprised RFK Jr. decided to run, with the history of his family...The DNC does not want him in the race...he does tell the truth of how the Democratic Party has changed...It is no longer the party for the working class...The Green Agenda when fully implemented will take away many jobs from the autoworkers..The Union they claim to support...
My problem with him is his views on ALL vaccines...I predict we will have a huge increase in many diseases that have vaccines to prevent..because we changed the laws for illegal immigrants...who do not need ANY vaccines...
People in the sanctuary cities are waking up...they now see what the border cities have been dealing with for years...
I disagree Jac..It is increasingly obvious that he has many symptoms of either dementia or senility...from the shuffle of his walk, to his forgetting where he has been...
With his poll numbers of people wanting him to run, low and going lower. And, his favorability numbers at one of the lowest...The Democratic Party would have a better chance having a new candidate.
I do agree that it is pressure from his own party though...Thing is, his mental capacity is important to the nation.
I would probably cast a vote next November, if the Dems ran someone besides Biden.
Unfortuately, it is not what is best for the country..in politics it is what is best for the party.
As for Biden...I see its as a someone who has been through watching someone I deeply loved for going downhill..although it was not mentally...thank God the cancer never went to his brain..it was very hard to watch..I protected him...from many things...
I do not understand how Jill can want him to run for another term...It is hard to watch as some make fun of him....In my book is is elderly abuse allowing him to run for another term.
@ DLMac...Good Lord...you are definitely long winded in your posts...Sorry, I welcomed you..When someone joins and has so many posts..they have an agenda.
RE: I was wrong, Trump does care about the environment
All I can say..it is your perception of Americans...I generally go to Orlando, 2 or 3 times a year...the theme park things..with family...
I’m not a thrill rider..never was...
I am the backpack holder..and wait for them to do the rides...
While waiting, many people from the UK start conversations with me.
They always say how kind and helpful everyone is here...that we are portrayed much differently in the news there...
