I used to have similar questions and attitudes until I became unemployed myself

Some people do not want to work, period.

I do, but at the same time will not take a job that is demeaning and pays a rate that is aimed at an inexperienced 18 year old.

I do think though that you are realistic, people often lose sight of the everyday doings particularly on dating sites, it's all about romance and that compatibility thing which falls into the realms of pipe dreams to a certain extent.
