My mother used to cook steak and kidney when I was a child, I think she probably sauteed them with onion then added beef stock and some flour to thicken, for a gravy
My British upbringing saw me being fed with all sorts of offal .. Kidneys, liver etc but I drew the line at lambs' brains and tripe.

I think you are brave in sharing such personal and meaningful issues, I guess I find it a little confronting and have difficulty in knowing how to respond sometimes
Well Cat, I guess it's a case of what will be, will be.
We'd all love to be able to guide our loved ones to what our perception of their happiness may be and of course we dread the day when our fears for them come to pass.
But maybe that won't happen and anyway, you and your sister will be there for that father that you obviously love and care for so much
PS. I do suspect that maintaining physical fitness may help in warding off common illnesses
I'm lucky I live in a temperate climate which allows me an outdoor lifestyle for the major part of the year .. I walk everyday and cycle 2-3 times a week, weather permitting.
My long-held vegetarian diet seems to suit and helps keep my weight down; I also think a positive attitude helps plus being grateful for having a healthy body as I grow older
It's beyond 'dating' .. It's when you are exclusive and you've arrived at that moment when no one else matters and the world outside doesn't exist for either of you.
Every man, woman and child in the world would have healthy and plentiful food, shelter, clean water, access to medical services, education, equal rights, the opportunity to gain meaningful employment, a peaceful existence, dignity and hope for the future.
Animals, domestic and wild, would hold no fear of humans and would co-exist in harmony and safety.
