RE: A sPecial Place in my Heart.........

So beautiful, thank you Teena wine

RE: What’s love got to do with it?

Sol

I was 39, busy with my family and my own disintegrating marriage and although that remark shocked me at the time, it didn't sink in until some time later.

It was possibly a situation that your blog alludes to - my mother was divorced with five children when she met my father, he was a successful businessman and swept her off her feet..

However through my childhood I only saw what I believed was love and devotion between them both, I was the only product of their relationship and he died when I was 14.

RE: What’s love got to do with it?

This blog brought to mind one of my mother's unforgettable remarks during her last days on this mortal coil.. Me sitting there alongside her quietly while she nodded off..

'I never really loved your father you know'..

Gee, thanks Mum uh oh lol

I'm a Gemini, we move in mysterious ways laugh

If someone comes into your life, you're attracted to them physically and emotionally, and you're on the same level as far as intellect and so on..

What's not to love grin

RE: What’s love got to do with it?

Sol

Precisely! laugh

RE: What’s love got to do with it?

Sol

I chose the word 'lover' intentionally..

There have been many, in my life, but my next will be my final and he will fulfil my physical, emotional and intellectual 'needs' conversing

Previous applicants need not apply rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What’s love got to do with it?

Convenience is not a basis for a relationship, for me.

My final lover I will adore, and he me, nothing less will do at this time in my life.

If he does not appear, l'll continue to do the things I love and live in single contentment wine

RE: would you, could you, change?

Some people don't want to change as they think they are quite perfect.
Others may disagree and suggest that this is why they are single, though desiring otherwise..

Smoking is a turnoff for me, after quitting a couple of years back - smokers taste and smell yuk.

I won't change who I am for anyone as it just does not work wine

RE: Life begins after 55

I concur wine

RE: Drama around Cecil the Lion!

Oh wait, I just noticed your cynical post re vegetarians and noted that you dwell in a country with zero animal rights.

One that skins and cooks animals while their their hearts are still beating, one that sells caged dogs in markets for food, their limbs tied behind their backs.

And so on.

I get it now thumbs down

RE: Drama around Cecil the Lion!

Animals have NO voice which is why there is an outcry from humankind on these issues.

Why though do people such as yourself think that those who do decry such atrocities do not also recognise injustice against humanity doh

RE: Those Long Gone Days

Our postal service has just announced that there will be large job losses in the near future conversing

Postage prices have gone through the roof over recent times which has obviously not been well-received by the public so did not solve their problem.

I still send birthday cards to my family but not parcels as the price is ridiculous wine

RE: Caucasians, tanning and the broader issues for all

I simply love summer, the beach, and the tan that accompanies it laugh

RE: Con men

Sorry to hear about your horrible experience Squiggly, we live and learn eh sad flower

RE: We Are Surrendering Without A War

Funny you should say that Catfoot as this blog to me contains rhetoric, for want of a better word, that many women might think would reflect the way a lot of men feel these days.

Feminists may like to endorse that, it's kind of a patronising empathy thing that I personally do not subscribe to.

You have never come across as anything other than comfortable in your manskin, and that's a thing for other men to aspire to and women to admire.

Don't ever change wine

RE: We Are Surrendering Without A War

Too much writing for me Catfoot, short attention span, yanno conversing

But I got the gist and just wanna say..

Quit whining and Man up very mad

laugh

RE: Nice from far - far from nice?

@Og totally agree .. I find it uncomfortable reading when people disclose very personal details about their private life on here, let alone when it's in relation to someone else's ..

RE: Nice from far - far from nice?

Well said, you're an intelligent, insightful woman and you have my respect Vivian handshake hug

RE: Guys! Do we really know what we want from a woman?

Men are less fussy than women, they tend to take what they can get wine

RE: Who Needs A Hug Or Two??

Yes I wouldn't mind one Mimi grin

Thanks sweetpea teddybear

RE: i am so board

Is planking still a thing? conversing

Try 'bored'....

RE: All that people seeing my profile and nobody says

It's because there are thousands of other women on here to choose from.

Welcome to the candy shop handshake

RE: :(

It's said the best way to get over a man is to get under a new one.

It works.

Try it.

RE: which?

Time to make a decision wine

RE: Success Story!

Hi tuit wave

All I know is that every time this question has appeared on the forums, the same two or three people have popped up to say that they have laugh

Somehow I find it ironic that they are still on the site to post their reply lol, but also acknowledge that (perhaps) many others have found their match and left the site for good conversing

It is what it is, a million to one, just like looking for a match in everyday life cheers

RE: Yesterday....

Yes I'm surprised we didn't get hospital selfies rolling on the floor laughing

RE: I'd fight a bear for you !

You are a funny guy Jim, love your stuff laugh bouquet

RE: women of today

I'm not sure 'most' women prefer to remain single, but for those who do I imagine it's for valid reasons.

Many of us have a history of unsatisfying relationships (as do many men) and we take note of that, particularly as we grow older conversing

We tend our gardens, they bloom and flourish and in time we realise that our harvest is bountiful and beautiful without any additional assistance.

Call it empowerment if you will, I think it's a mix of acceptance, resilience, insight and peace.
