Ever since I was 4 yrs of age blue eyes was an innate point of contact for me. I was in first grade and was scolded (by the nun)for twirling Annes blonde hair and looking at her baby blues while in the Auditorium.....it hasn't changed much from there...

You actually notice what color your lovers eyes are,

If you do it in the dark, does it matter,

Okay, I m being a smart a**,
Giving some thought to that question, the color of a persons eyes, is one thing, I never seem to notice,
