Hi carey good for you and i'd agree with your way of thinking... but that being said, comming off meds depending ones health conditions is not the answer for all.
A friend of mine died as a result of thinking she could fix her own health more so than her meds... not trying to put a downer on your blog however.. just incase it might encourage others to maybe do the same..one shouldn't give up their meds without caution or advice.
