Domesticated animals must continue to be protected the world over. It was not the animal that asked us to domesticate them, they had no choice. Humans have taken it upon ourselves to take away the natural life of an animal by domesticating for our own satisfaction. Yet we can then turn around and kill or mistreat them for fun or to eat. These animals that have been domesticated need to be treated better and have laws in place that demand they be treated better. JMO.
NON I hear what you are saying, BUT seeing as this happened in a westernized world were animals have rights to live and not be treated poorly, there can be no excuse. Whether the person was impoverished or not, and whether or not he had full control of his facilities at the time, should not be an excuse for this kind of treatment. This person had the knowledge to do what he did, and therefore had the knowledge to know it was wrong. As for some cultures that eat dog meat as part of their everyday part of life, that culture is not the AMERICAN Culture. To me, this person needs to spend all the five years in confinement. end of story.

Zman Today's music seems to be to plastic if that makes sense? I'm not sure that any song of the last 5-10 years will be remembered as a classic. yet movies tend to use music of the generation i mentioned to help get people to it. You are showing your age when mentioning the Glenn Miller band, unfortunately, i do remember them also. Dont forget "My Way" recorded for the first time by "ol blue eyes" and still a great song being covered today. As for me and my "Hula Hoop", back then my waist was a great deal slimmer than it is today. ( i have many love handles where my waist was). We must live in the present, but gezz, Music was music back then.
NON I think i understand what you are saying. At times it may have been tuff love as you say, but am i not still giving that tuff love "unconditionaly? I guess my imperssion of giving unconditional love is that there are no conditions what so ever. we give tuff love when needed because we love. They may have done something wrong to get the tuff love, but it is still love. Not sure i am making sense. Sorry.
S4T You are seriously making me blush. You are right that "my" Trinity is the centre of not just my world, but my universe. As grand parents have been known to say, I live my grandkids, but also love that i can hand them back. Well to be honest, I HATE Handing Trinity back to her mum when the time comes.

Twazzle, I'm not sure if you are a betting man, but put your house on the fact the the "round tuit" my granddaughter presented to me is indeed a prized posession. It is in the middle of being framed, then to be placed in a prominate postion on my Lounge room wall where all visitors will see it.
