Maybe the reasons of marriage are "old hat" now so to speak, especially if one has been married before and have been divorced. Marriage is what each person makes of it, In my opinion, it is a public statement made by the two people concerned that says,"i have devoted my life to us being together". By getting married it says to society that i am in love and will follow the rules that govern marriage. And that is a more powerful statement than just living together. Not sure if i have explained it properly.

Cat, Mate, you are the first one to actually see the reality of such a situation, I have used a "box" as a substitute for a breath. If the question was worded with "breath" and not "box", i wonder how others would then view the question. I applaud that you were able to see this. bhadra Whilst i do agree that such a box could never be "real", i did also point out that it was a hypothetical question, ( a what if it was real type of question). I did so mainly to see how many would respond, how many would give it some thought and what answers i would get. I understand that it is a hard question given that it could never really happen.

usha123 You are correct, I say Lifetime because some may consider eternity to be the afterlife. But i did say that the lifetime would be as long as you wished to be alive. I understand that something like this may never happen in real life, (in fact it would be impossible for it to happen) but i ask just to see what sort of responses i would receive, I hope all is going well for you and your daughters.
Zman, G'day mate, For someone who is a recluse such as yourself, perched high on the mountain tops of spain, I see no reason why you would indeed wish to open the box, I believe you would pass it on to one of the town folks and let them decide. It is hard to give a man health and happiness when he already has all that he wants, At least i hope you have all that you want.

Minerva88 Firstly, I have been well. Thank you. I see that you may have developed a new friendship on one of cats blog recently. Yes This blog was inspired by the movie "The Box". I actually watched last night. I dont think that anyone could be wrong with any decision they make.
cat, I'm not sure what my profile tries to state now, I know it says i'm in a relationship and that i'm not looking, and only here for the blogs. But that doesnt seem to stop all the pretty and not so pretty women from mailing me, as for me being here for the blogs, .....mmmmm some may say thats a lie as i dont seem to be writing many lately or commenting either. As for my pictures, well i may have to have a word to my make up artist to see if we cant change some, but my pics i try to get to convey my current mood when blogging. Anyway, have taken up to much space here now, people may think i'll be blogging again.
