Another Toilet Seat Story Again?
Junior SA Army officers refused to keep their berets or caps on when they use the toilet since last week. This led to the situation that such officers no longer had to salute higher ranking officers while seated on the toilet. When asked about it, General Concern said this promotes Major Discontent to General Discontent and is just another example of General Disrespect and a lack of discipline in the ranks of the junior officers.
The dispute led to a General Meeting last night and General Pandemonium prevailed when General Motors and General Electric made their joint declaration that General Staff of the South African Army will strike as from Monday if their demands are not met in full.
This promotes General Concern as nothing will be done in the army. There are more Generals than troops. Colonel Saunders later on said that the proposed strike is just a load of chicken shit and will not create any discomfort as the Army had lost its striking power some years ago. He added that shit remains shit, no matter how much secret spices you add.
Major Catastrophe, who spoke on behalf of middle management said the ranks of Major to Brigadier will not participate in the strike on the proviso they will be paid General Wages if required to do assist with General Duties. He added that they are quite happy that the troops, non commissioned officers and warrant officers keep their berets on while seated on the toilet.
Captain Dorego, the spokesmen for the junior officers said the whole thing smells fishy and is just a smokescreen by General Disruption and General Confusion to promote their nephew, Major Incompetence. We already have General Incompetence with General Staff and another simply won’t do.
When asked about it, Corporal Punishment, the spokesmen for non commissioned officers, said they don’t mind saluting the Generals while seated on the toilet but the problem was that General Behavior wanted a 21 gun salute and said even NCOs run out of wind some times. He also protested against the indignity of a short arm inspection at the same time and added that it was not always possible to present arms while seated.
In a late interview Private Parts, the representative of the enlisted men, said he cannot understand any of this. The army is supposed to ensure peace but what worth is peach if you cannot even shit in peace.
Commodore Penny Fairweather of the local yacht club, said that this is an internal affair with the army and that the navy will not participate in the strike. She said that if everybody will just remember to close and lock the toilet doors, none of this will be necessary. She then added that the female Navy officers may resort to a General Strike if the male officers are to continue leaving the toilet seat up.
You all have a great day out there.
ps
I am about set to move. I took my animals to my friend yesterday. I have gotten rid of all my junk and excesses and my sister is coming this weekend to help me pack what is to go into storage. The Storage container will arrive Monday morning and then it will just be a matter of moving everything in there.

You're being missed here Catfoot! So happy for you too, finally!
Thanks. It is great to be back again. I had been so busy and thought I would not finish in time. Now it seems that I have time to spare.
Now your sis will demand the seat be down.
sorry about your animals that must be hard for animal lover.
New chapter cat or book I wish you well
Thanks. Yes, in the beginning I was quite sad about the idea. Now I cannot wait to leave; I have lived here too long. I miss my dogs.
I can say about moving though you get new lease of life without trying. New friends, activities opens your mind out of the rut we tend to dig ourselves into without much thought.
Just watch you will be lighter in the heart and will skip down street into new adventure.
This is only a temporary solution. Now that I have made up my mond I will soon start looking for a place of my own again. Something somewhat smaller than what I had. I may even get my animals back if it does not take too long.
Yes, it is nice to be back. As I said, I may just be able to get my animals back again if I don't take to long about it. But I wont take them again once the have bonded with their new master.
Private Parts was given an audience with the President to air his grievances. He picked the wrong guy though. You cannot negotiate with a Public Part.
I feel just as bad about it but there were other considerations as well. I could not keep them while with my sister. they already have other animals.
have been long time I dont see you.... Glad to have you here again CF..
I have just been very busy. I'm ahead of schedule and thought to show my face for a change. I will probably resume my normal blogging duties by Wednesday next week. That is if General Expectations can prevail.
just make sure you dont give up the "good habits".... btw, It's called breakdancing for a reason.
all the best my friend,
How are you my friend. I have not seen you for extra long. I have just consulted with General Works and he has assured my that my moving house will not be affected by their General Strike.
Braking Parts had resigned his commission and is now employed by City Council. And Private Parts still refuse to comment. He said he does not want his name in the newspaper as it will just be held against him.
welcome to the club of insanity
I will soon start looking around for a smaller place. But I will be comfortable where I'm going until I find a suitable place. It is just my privacy that I will miss until then.
I have discovered that although insanity is not a prerequisite it certainly does help.
Thank you! I had been extremely busy wrapping up everything at the house and things will return to normal by the middle of next week. Luckily I'm moving into a furnished granny flat and will enjoy my meals with my sister. So no Major Disruptions expected. Will just be moving in with my clothes and personal effects.
Hmm, I'd be happy enough there and my mind is made up already. But there are other concerns to resolve before I can implement my plans.
hope all things are well...glad things are finally getting in shape...the move and all...missed your comments from the blogs!!!
I know what it is like to move done it maaaany times.
I fear moving is a field where I'm very thin in experience. During the first half of my life I did it 5 times and twice was with my parents before I was 7. Since then I have not moved house at all. Luckily this move is in two parts. No unpacking this time. That will only happen when I find a suitable dwelling for my needs.
Ive just realized, that they not renewing passports anymore.
seems to have got lost,.
Guess, they arent letting us run either.
Im not looking forward to this.
which is the easiest way out. car fumes, or starvation.
Nice to see you have not forgotten about the blogs. :) I wish you all the best.
No, I will not be emigrating anymore (not at the present in any way) but my passport was issued a few months ago without any problems other than a usual long delay.
No, I still enjoy the blogs too much to just leave it but other more important things had to be seen to. Things will soon return to normal.
Ok about not reading it. The move is under control now. Just a few odds and ends to do. The biggest problem was to get rid of all the unwanted things in a profitable way and that was accomplished. What is still left of it can go to my family. When the storage container arrives on monday I can just move the wanted items in there and off I go.
I have it on good authority that Major General Adversity will be holding a special meeting with all officers to discuss all things.
General Calamity will be a guest speaker on said topic as will be Major Catastrophe.
Together they will outline the concerns of Lieutenant Mischief and Brigadier Misfortune.
Please be aware that all late comers will have soiled pants.
P.S. good to see you back, if only briefly.
How are you doing my friend. It has been so very long since we could blog in tandem. I miss those days. Just hope we stay longer this time.
see M....... who is pisces, is now going to be in charge of JSE.
Guess thats the end of SA.
Nice to see you here once again...the worst part is over...I hate packing and moving but good once it is over...
