Cat, Maybe i was being a bit harsh, maybe, You ask "So why do we want to treat online friends better than in real life"? could the answer be that we are online to help pass the day?, to blog and be in a world that is, (in some peoples mind separate to reality?) and that we gather here to get away from what ails us in "Real Life". Could it be that some are afraid that if they step on the toes of others that we maybe complained about and face suspension or being banned? Could it be, that many are here just to have fun and not be bothered by insensitive, uncalled for, unwanted comments. Or is it a combination of all of the above?
Cat, I am not sure why some MAY have got upset with the HYPOTHETICAL question you asked about which 5 friends would you take. In some ways, i would say to those that complained at being left out, (not invited) may have low self esteem issues. I along with you and some others left out some people i consider to be very close friends, and i of course would love to meet them. To those that maybe did not want to name 5 for fear of hurting other friends, well i guess they can only answer why they didnt. A long time ago a friend rang me at 3.00am in the morning and asked me to bail him out of jail. Without questioning him i did so straight away. Next day, he told me that 3 other friends asked him, why he didnt call them. They were only upset that they weren't asked to help. You must have heard of the old saying, "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can not please ALL of the people ALL the time". If the friends i left off my list of 5 were angry, upset, annoyed with me for doing so, then they would be people i would rather not be friends with. Fortunately, those i left off the list understood completely.

the more things change, the more they stay the same. that was a saying i heard many times growing up, sometimes it hits the nail on the head, other times it makes no sense. I see a past "friend" of yours is keeping up with the blogs, it's a shame his life has stagnated though. Computers are not my forte, having said that i do now how to turn them on by myself now.

For varying reasons I would invite the following. Not in any particular order. Boban, yourself (cat) Zman, Chocheta and Loulou. Now there are at least 10 others I would like to invite, but that is against the rules. Maybe we should put our heads together and see how we could bend the rules a little. Like yourself Della would have been on my list along with Non Smoker. But alas they are not here. So those I named would be my guests.
i would say that you may be the sort of person who's personality makes men feel more than friendship for you. they may mistake you caring, understanding nature to mean that you have deeper feelings for them. Sometimes love is not by choice, but by chance, falling out of love is by choice, not not by chance. Allow men to know early that you are only wanting to build a friendship, as sometimes, friendships are more important and better than a love relationship. just a thought.

Fly. you call this blog "THE VICTIM" then you say blogs are written about you because you are gone. I dont think the blogs were about you directly, but about the many people of late that have written a 'GOODBYE" blog. what has happened behind the scenes i do not know, except that i do know that there is a small group of people that love to "GOSSIP" & spread "RUMOURS" about some people. It would be unfair of me to "GENERALIZE" and say that it is only "women" as it is some "men" as well. I pay NO ATTENTION to those that like to "GOSSIP" & spread "RUMOURS" amongst themselves. what is a shame is there are some who believe all that they are told. they know who they are, and yet being 2 faced, they come on yours and others blog pretending to know nothing. I say beware, Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Loulou I'd like to think of myself as a peaceful person. I have great affection for big cats small cats in between cats. But to put your mind at ease. Matilda and I have been known to hunt down a butterfly or two.
