Dinner For Six
Let’s stand still for a minute and imagine that there was a competition and you had won the first prize which is a dinner for six in a posh restaurant. It is to be a pure platonic outing and you may invite any 5 CS members to join you; all expenses – even airfares – paid.
According to the rules, you may invite neither your lover nor anybody else you have met previously.
If I should win such a prize, I would suffer a small pang of regret for the one person I would really love to meet is no longer with us. When I first arrived here he was mounted on a horse and wore an equally fearsome horned helmet. Yes, you guessed it. Ms Delatude would have been my choice was he still here and if I could invite only one person. Alas, he opted to leave us and I miss the old geezer.
But now he’s left and I can invite 5 friends. So who will it be? Five friends is cutting it fine and a lot of good friends are going to be left out; not because I don’t like them enough but rather because I am more inquisitive about the following people.
In alphabetical order:
Fotinia, Simmo, Ummka, Welela & Zmountainman.
They are 5 very different people but why them; what do they have in common with me? That is simple, they were all considered to be trolls at some stage. Guess what we will be talking about all night!
Ok, I left out a few other trolls but remember, I may only invite 5 people.
Also note that these people were all here when I first arrived at CS and played an important part in my settling here. No offense to my other friends; When I win the competition again you will certainly be on my list next time.

Incidentally, he was the second person to comment on my very first blog, and you will never guess who the first and the third were. No point in checking; they are no longer with us.
And the weekend is a long weekend here in Saskatchewan, lake and beach time, plus 27 all weekend, going as planned, oh yes shes working it

In answer to your other question inviting me to guess,
Are you sure the person has been reincarnated at some some stage, I hear he did manage a few resurrections in his time.
Yes, interesting company with lots to talk about but i will suggest that you seat MM and JFK as far as possible from each other so everybody can heat what they have to exhange with each other.

Both had been reincarnated and the one is very prolific though he always denies any memory of his previous lives. But that is how reincarnation works, not so?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I will speak to the organizers but I understand that there are some financial issues and we may already have to pay for our own starters. More people may place a further burden on your guests. It was very difficult for me as well, so you will have to be very blunt in your selection.
Oh, why do I even have to choose anyone? I have 26 people I set very high on my friends list. I would love to make a party for them all...

I will submit your list but I think it will be rejected. As a South African you have to stick to the population ratio. Both Nam and Minerva will have to be removed from your list and replace by one black person and another with some European, Asian, Colored and black heritage to restore the balance. I may qualify as the one but I may still have a mite too much European blood. Maybe you must look around a bit more.
Funny laws we have here! The one set of racial laws were replaced by another equally absurd laws.

I would also have preferred a party for all my friends but rules are rules. Unless of course if we decline the prize but then it will be given to the next person.

I was sort of hoping to see every member somewhere in a list by the end of the evening so we can all be together under one roof.

Is it so difficult. Friends are like dresses in a woman's wardrobe. If there is only one she will always know what to wear but the moment there is more that one she cannot decide.
