Just A Little
by RainbowSlider

Just a little call to see if you are OK.
Just a little note to see what you say.
Just a little flower to do with what you may.
Just a little light to brighten your way.
Just a little thought to help your day.
Just a little time with you before you hit the hay.
Just a little kiss so that you won't go away.
Just a little hug so you will stay.
Just a little more of you is all I pray.

RE: I'm hung-over, feeling sorry for myself and need a hug.

Watch out for those spirits not all of them are good. :)

RE: The net and still single

It is good to see you, again, Optional. I hope you are having a good day.

RE: My Heart Hurts

I really love your poetry. It makes a lot of sense to me and I can almost feel what you have went through. Today is the poem that touches me most because like you I lost someone. I know others have lost loved ones and we all have to deal with the wreckage of the past. We are all survivors of what has gone on before us. I hope you keep up your poetry and write more because I know the sharing helps us all.

Cradled In The Arms Of Love
by RainbowSlider

Storms within and storms without.
The storm clouds are dark.
There seems to be no hideout.
The hurricane winds leaves marks.

Fires start from the lightning.
Ashes are found in many places.
Life seems so hectic and frightening.
There are so many empty places.

Destruction where the tunnel touches down.
People run for cover in fear.
The thunder booms as rain touches the ground.
Lightening strikes every where.

Nature shows it true face in anger at Zion.
The ire of multitude problems descend.
The hurricane comes as a raging lion.
The impending doom looks like the end.

We get caught up in the storm.
Terror as push comes to shove.
Peace of the eye takes us warm.
Cradled in the arms of love.

RE: Release me from this site.

Has you cat made any progress in learning to talk? I have been trying to teach my dog since last July. Do you think it is easier to teach a cat to talk than a dog? If you do make progress let me know and keep notes. I would be interested in your findings and your teaching techniques.

God And The Void
by RainbowSlider

In the beginning there was God and the Void.
And God was perfect and the void was nothing.
Then from the void God created everything.
And the Void got mad because part of his nothing was gone.

The the angels came along and they were perfect.
But the Void came to the Son of the Morning.
And a war broke out in heaven between the angels.
And the Son of the Morning became Satan.

Then Satan came to the earth in the form of a serpent.
And from the earth God made Adam the first person.
And God gave Adam the job of naming things.
Adam was given the choice of the animals for a mate.

But Adam was discontented from the choices he was given.
So God caused Adam to go into a deep sleep.
And God took a rib from Adam and it made a void.
So God made Eve from the rib and gave her to Adam.

Adam's void was replaced by Eve and it was called love.
Then one day in the garden of Eden Eve was tempted.
And an apple was taken and it created a void.
And Eve and Adam were ran away from the garden.

Adam and Eve had a beautiful love but felt a void.
Then Cain came along and that solved everything,
After that Abel was born but was slain by Cain.
And a void was created but was replaced by Seth.

Some people have a hard time accepting the concept of God.
But who can deny the existence of the Void?
Something can be replaced but who can fill the void?
Everything has a hard time dealing with nothing.

The Romans did not have a zero in their numerals.
It might be thought how can nothing really exist.
Is a black hole really nothing or is it something?
Does nature really abhor a vacuum or not?

The Void is the hunger for knowledge.
Ignorance is never satisfied and is always hungry.
The Void says feed me or I will eat you.
Ignorance has always been here and continues to live.

Can you get something from nothing?
Can you make something out of nothing?
Where does nothing live when the world is full of everything?
If everything has a reason then what is the reason for nothing?

Where does time go when you don't have a watch?
Why is there a hole in donut?
Why is there always more questions than answers?
Does reality really exist or did we make it up?

Thank you, Babs. :)

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

Do they have the neighborhood watch program where you live? I have never been to one of their meetings. I wonder if someone has? I know I like having a street light outside my door.

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

There used to be this lady that came by my house. She walked six dogs at one time. She was always friendly and waved when she walked by. She moved away and I never found out what became of her. She gave me instructions to where they had a cut rate on dog vacinations and it saved me a bundle on getting my dog a rabies shot.

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

I am thankful for al the input. Close to my father's last days his doctor had him living in the desert of El Paso, Texas. I asked dad how he liked it there. He said that he lied it nice except for a neighbor that had moved in too close 11 miles away. That was his closest neighbor. Jeez, lol. I think one can actually be taught antisocial behavior, lol.

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

Wow, that was cool, Cran. I would be, too. Nice that happened to you.

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

When I was growing up people actually used to talk to other people who lived around them. But I guess when you move around a lot because of parents in the service you miss out on things like that. My children didn't have to experience that.

Does anybody have neighbors they like?

What is your idea of a good neighbor? Most places I have lived I never really knew who my neighbors were. I kept expecting that welcome wagon with a cake. I live in the country where people shoot first and ask questions later. If they don't know you you have to make sure there are no attack dogs and someone looking out the window with a gun pointed at you.

RE: RIP Deleted profiles

Is there something wrong with freaking freaks? Hey freaks have rights too, especially freaky freaks, lol.

RE: ALONE TIME???

I think this threads warrants more replies than what has been given. In the book 'Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus' this alone time issue has been touched on. In the book the author illustrates the 'alone time' of men as retreating to their 'caves'. The 'cave' is identified as this private retreat with a warning on the cave that violaters of this inner sanctum or inner space will be severely reprimanded. Keep in mind that I am not quoting but only giving a reader's digest version of the concept. On the outside of the entrance to the cave is an invisible sign saying 'Here there be dragons enter at your own risk'. I think the alone time is important and should be adhered to. Particulary in a committed relationship when a dispute between the people in the relationship need time to think things over. Being spontaneous in communication has been connected with the ideal of being honest. However speaking before one thinks also can be detrimental to communication. Ideally as one learns their partner better which is not always the case one would know when to give space or to when to take space. It shouldn't be thought of as a way to deny the significant other of quality time but that quality time is just that time that has quality to it. One needs to budget their time so to speak under certain conditions.

RE: Philosophy

I see your point of view. I remember in philosophy class the ideas of concepts in the virtual world were compared to forms in the physical world. Where in the virtual world things were perfect but things in the physical world were imperfect. I thought it was significant in that perfection is an virtual ideal rather than a physical reality. I thought the reverse notion that the flaw found in physical reality can be more desirable than the perfection found in virtual reality. I found Plato's Republic to be interesting reading. I thought it was cool that he thought so much of his teacher Socrates. I thought it was also equally interesting that the Euclid's math theories were different than Einstien's formulas. I was facinated by Descartes use of x and y in his graphs. Ayn Rand's work seem to me so much more interesting than Camus. Socrates fascinated me because his gad fly approach challenged the dogma of his day. He actually went around to see if the people in high office really had any idea of what they were doing.

RE: Philosophy

I like Plato's view of the noble savage. I thought the philosopher king was pretty cool. I always thought it would be neat to find the philosopher's stone.

RE: Should women have the choice...

I think women should have the choice. I think they should choose if they want to make the bread at home or go to the grocery store to buy it. Either way is ok with me.
