what am I doing on this site? Hmm had to think for a few minutes. Looking for friends to exchange ideas, kind of want a pen-pal thingie going back and forth, but not with too many. Also am looking for a companion, but he has to be "right" for me, as I am done being treated badly or casually. So far have heard from very nice people, and have overcome some of the fears of being scanned or bullcrapped around with. Fortunately that has not happened to me, although have had a few tense conversations with some but hey that's all in the mix. Hugs for everyone. The big bonus with love is you can give all you have away and still have more than you began with. Yup--cheesy, but I felt to say it to you guys.

Jesus was Jewish, as we all know. Many references to a rabbi being a woman--'the high Priestess'. thank you for this post. We need to start letting God be who He really is, not some archaic threatening, imposing ghoul. He is individual to all of us. I simply cannot understand why this is such a difficult concept.
In 1963 my mother (a new single mom) worked for 3000,00 a year, which was about 195.00 take-home a month. We rentd a three bedroom house (nice enough) for 60.00 a month, electric bill was about 4.00, groceries came to about 15.00 a week. A bus trip into the city was 20 cents. Downtown (in the city) a cafe lunch was about 60 or 75 cents, soft drinks were 5 cents, a milkshake was a quarter. A night out at the movies was 35 cents each.
You need to clear the air first, get her settled in another home, (not just another room). You are not ready to find the right companion until you give yourself some down time from this one. Man, what a mess. You must fix it before you are ready, and then, for all the world, my friend, take your time--find someone who is going to be good to you and for you. Life is too wonderful, and, sadly, too short for you to accept a miserable situation. Incidentally, since it isn't working, why isn't she gone yet? That's a good question, you know. Before I get started I will tell you that I am a believer. Now, Christianity gives a complex and mixed message to people. Beautiful, wonderful unconditional Love and caring. Hanging by a thin thread over Hell's abyss. Acceptance and nurturing, a promise of Heaven. Eternal torture beyond the imagination if you don't do exactly as the Bible thumping, rule quoting preacher demands. Celebration of individuality and diversity, (as long as it meets THEIR expectations). Pretty confusing, huh? any more question as to why some choose not to believe? (I believe out of faith in Him, not out of being afraid of a preacher. Get it?)

Hi there Somechick--was a little surprised at your take on this, but do respect your point of view. To me, it's a matter of courtesy, I guess. If someone begins a thread either in the form of a question or a statement which implies other responses, and then doesn't continue to participate, it leaves the rest wondering why he/she posted in the first place. Probably what is going on is this person is dancing around a lot of the different topic/threads/posts and gets more interested in one or the other. You are right that it's not worth getting "frustrated" over--this I totally agree with. (What are you going to do about it, anyhow)? So I validate your response completely with the side comment that the poster(s) in question are discourteous. Fair enough?

Fair enough. I guess I'm just not comfortable with saying too much about something I know little or nothing of. Hoping that the scant piece of information would be enough to get someone who MAY know about this. If not, hey, I got other fish to fry, so no big woop.
a guy told me the other day that homeless people are being sent to some sort of "camp" in the West. I gathered this was not necessarily a good thing. Now, I'm well educated, and not easily gullible, but he was very insistent . Does anyone know if this is just a bunch of bs or is it possible?
