You either believe some thing is true or you don’t there is no “half “

The bible has been proven to be historically inaccurate[/qote

RE: No love in humanity

Hey now--I've talked with you before and I think you're a very fine person. Please don't give up on Love. I know how it must seem, but when it really does happen for you then you will wonder why you thought this way. You know--you're very handsome, articulate, thoughtful. You have a well-rounded view of the world around you, you're obviously smart, and have good common sense. Don't give up on Love--sometimes I think it is the only real reason we were made--to love and be loved. "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie--that's AMore!" Now, snap out of it you drippingly handsome fella--get out there and give Life all you got!

RE: How Many Aethiests Have Changed Their Minds ?

I don't understand the statement "something might've created this particular universe, but not existence itself". Can someone explain?

RE: C S travel coop

So....let me understand. The girl sends YOU the ticket? Way cool. You must really be the cat's pajamas, Buster. (your buddy, r-----cats meow)

RE: How Many Aethiests Have Changed Their Minds ?

Crotalus: 1. How is it an argument against foxholes?
Crotalus: 2. How is it fundamentally flawed?
Crotalus: 3. Please explain what you mean by "the reliability of the original text".

RE: Hot and not so hot

I once saw a personal ad that really took the cake. It went something like this: "Gorgeous runway model. Perfect 10. Comfortable in leather or lace. Seeking gentleman for companionship/marriage. Any age, type. Exception: Must provide with unlimited cash". (at least the filthy trollop was honest).

RE: How Many Aethiests Have Changed Their Minds ?

1. "There are no atheists in foxholes". 2. "At night the atheist half-believes". 3. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess". (not some, not many , EVERY...) thanxhandshake

RE: glenn beck

Hey Soldier--don't go! Not everyone thinks this way! And you are right about a lot of things. Just don't answer nincompoops. People sometimes just say something without evaluating the whole situation. Let it go. I think you're cool. A little rusty, a little crusty, but nevertheless cool. cool

RE: One Beer With a Past Singer- Who would it be?

I'm good-thanks. Yup, they were in town for a concert and I got to go - what a rad show it was, too. Just happened to have an old vinyl "Cheap Thrills" so had all the guys (and the "new" Janis) sign it. By the way, the lady singer really carried the program. I got to talk with her for quite awhile, and even though there's only one Janis, this gal did an awesome job. I'll write to you soon e-mail. thanks for asking about me, Lovie!hug

RE: glenn beck

I don't watch very much t.v. at all, but have heard a great deal about FOX and scare tactics, etc... how lots of people seem to accept everything that is said on that venue as "truth". Is there a counterpart show (s) that would give this playing field a little more balance? Radio? fm band here only gets as far south as San Francisco and as far North as Newport, occas. Portland or Seattle. kind of in the sticks, we are. thanx......cool

RE: One Beer With a Past Singer- Who would it be?

Recently I got to meet 'Big Brother and the Holding Company' band members. We talked about Janis, of course, and it was really interesting to hear a bit about her that only her closest friends/employees could know. She tended to go on binges, rather than the constant drug use most people associate with her. She had some real "Mother Earth" (as it were!) qualities, often preferring out of the way cabins, etc... I don't think there will ever be another singer so full of enthusiasm as she was. She's my girl!

RE: The Dreaded Morning After Email Of Rejection

Oh come on, that one's a little lame, don't you think? Honesty, honesty, honesty. Sprinkled with consideration, of course. If it's not really "you" then don't say it is. Or you could say, "nothing personal, but you just can't compete with my intellectual expectations, you have no fashion sense, the perfume you're wearing clashes with your body's ph and is giving me a migraine headache, you say "did you know" too many times an hour, you have bad breath and you resemble your mother--I can tell by the moustache. But hey, give me your number, anyway!"rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Dating Advice

Couldn't help but notice your spiel on 'sleep'. Once upon a time I heard that "Englishmen don't sleep, they just rest their eyes'. laugh

RE: When should "old men" accept the fact.....

You've got to be kidding, my friend. Does "the older the grape, the sweeter the wine" mean anything? How about, "just because there's snow on the roof doesn't mean there isn't a fire in the chimney" ? I know a gentleman here who just turned 70, and the guy looks like a dang movie star--fit, to die for handsome, and as nice as the day is long. Furthermore, I'm not the kind of person to get too awful naughty or playful, but I will tell you this: "It" gets better, more powerful, more 'intense', more pleasurable, if you want to know the skinny of it. AND, women like older men. (and some men do, too). The brits used to say, "e's a tad bit older, bu' e's randie an' bolder"... it's true, my darlings. So think twice before dissin' us old guys.

RE: The Dreaded Morning After Email Of Rejection

Huh?

"the night was a hit-
but I don't like you a bit
so do us both a favor
and lickety-split".

sometimes there is just NO WAY to do it except do it!

RE: The Dreaded Morning After Email Of Rejection

This is what I tried to say a few days ago--thanks for the backup, Shirley! Like I said, there's just no way to do it other than to just do it, right? Why make it worse by keeping it going when you know darn well it's not a good fit? People! Good grief!

Tiger Woods (!)

Just read a bit about the middle of the night car-wreck. Didn't have too much info. Anyone out there know some more about this?

RE: Regional would be better, don't you think so?

First of all, Mister Driver, you gotta write a little more often, ha ha. Read what Miss Kitty said, Boss. Trying to get other Oregonians to respond to this little post is like nailing jello to a tree. But hope springs eternal. Don't be a stranger, and maybe, just maybe you won't have to cover as much ground as you think you need to before you find a wonderful friend, lover, companion, whatever your heart desires. Best...but remember, to have a friend, you gotta BE a friend!handshake

Here We Go Again

I can't find it anywhere--do you know something I don'tcool (it has happened that something seems deleted and then a few days or weeks later pops back up. (dunno ) appreciate your responding, Luv.

Here We Go Again

Last week I answered a post about socialism and capitalism. We were having a good batting back and forth of ideas (Scousedon(?) from the UK and several others. Now the thread is no where to be found. This is not the first time this has happened. Now, I can understand the moderators eliminating posts and threads for content, but I don't get why they would need to if we are just talking about this -n- that. Has anyone else out there had the same thing happen, if so, do you have any idea what the heck is up with this arbitrary removal of threads. It's annoying because it happens right in the middle of good conversations. Like I said, no one is being rude or nasty, we simply are exchanging ideas and viewpoints. Isn't that what this is for? It's called a FORUM, isn't it? Please will someone explain to me why this is going on? Thank you!

RE: Union County?

That's right Miss Kitty--whistle up a rodeo and then don't come to it! ha ha--where y'all been? In any event, have a super Thanksgiving. I don't have to do a thing--the neighbors are taking me in. (it's my effervescent personality and drippingly handsome good looks, you know.) best, and hugs to you, darlin------hug hug

RE: Do you think you are single, because you are picky???

Oh, sorry guys that I got off track! Now to answer the original question: I don't think any of us can be TOO picky. In fact, I encourage all of you to be just as darn picky as you feel you want and need to be. We don't have to settle for less than quality, and that includes relationships. Be choosy. Be picky. You owe it to yourself. I mean it, buddies--you don't have to take less than you're worth, so don't. Hugs and love and all that to you!hug hug

RE: Do you think you are single, because you are picky???

the first thing that I think of when I hear this is pudding-filled pastries that melt in your mouth like eclairs or the like. However, I think it can also mean a germanic people. I believe the Hapsburgs (Austria) were considered to be "Bavarian". does this help, Ali? How are you, Ali? Long time no hear from. Have a great Thanksgiving or whatever you folks have like it over there. Best....handshake

RE: The Woman Said To Me... "Im Sorry, But I Have Something To Tell You" !!

Hey now--that was uncalled for. You invite any and all replies by posting. It's kinda spoiled to answer this way. It's like you're saying, "you can only say stuff that is going to make me happy". The soldierbyte is cool, and where do you get off being so personal with him. That implication was a bit rowdy. Just what's going on inside YOUR head, there mister? know what I mean, jellybean? a little concerned about another GUY, aren't you? hmmmmmmmmmmm...

RE: The Woman Said To Me... "Im Sorry, But I Have Something To Tell You" !!

Hey thanx a bunch, SB. I think you are so cool, Bud. handshake
