I have always thought this way too. Look at all the possibilities. and-if the universe is unending (I know there's a better word for this, so someone please remind me. I'm a Gomer today) then there's no chance for there NOT to be. did I say this right? (that is, if life isn't discovered in one galaxy, then keep going on the the next, and the next..and so on. There's other intelligent life out in the cosmos, maybe even so advanced we can't imagine.
this was a good post. I like it that you think over your idea before putting it down. Being spontaneous is endearing-sometimes-but not schmart other times, that adage "know how deep the creek is before diving in" sort of thing. It's my nap time-us old timers, you know.
Interesting you should reply to such a question. I have a spiritual faith. Sometimes the letter I post arrives, sometimes not. No I do not think about it once posted. Yes, most drivers have faith the other driver will not cross the line. Yes, you are right we spend most of our day acting in faith. I do not discredit doubt easily. Yes, I have heard the "when in doubt" expression. I agree with it. I admit I do not understand your comment about doubt/original sin. Does not compute. Good luck to you, as well.

you didn't get the meaning behind the meaning. The "ideal" of faith was what was being strived for. Of course you are "right" in the concrete sense of the term. Sorry if trying to picture what I meant was a mixed message. Thanx for writing.
It is never a good idea for anyone, male or female, to settle for one-night stands. And remember,"if you have to ask, then don't!" I realize that some people believe that if both parties are agreeable to this sort of arrangement, then what's the harm, etc...There is always someone in the arrangement who is not happy with this, even thought they may say different. Besides, that is a lot to give to someone for a shallow ending. I don't recommend it.
Just wanting ideas/observations about faith. Like other ideals, i.e,hope, love, etc... it's hard to pinpoint it. Will share what I think when I hear some feedback. Not sure what I think, I do try to turn doubt into faith (don't mean to sound trite)

Dear Druidess: whew boy. Love is so ornery. No respect for what's good for us. Why oh why do we fall in love with people who would not be good for us? Why do some of us love the same gender? It all seems so unfair. (not to make this about me, I will interject this - I would NOT have wished this . For those who do not understand or simply disagree, you don't know what you're talking about. There is no camp or "program" to "undo" it.) Now, back to you--you're a very articulate and seemingly compassionate person, and it appears you have a very good head on your shoulders. Still, I fully understand about going away with him for 2 weeks. If you trust him (as far as safety, non-control freak, etc...) I say GO AHEAD AND GO. Agreed. A question for anyone and everyone, just wanting to know how you see this: your car, home, apartment is broken into. When reporting, YOU are grilled as to "did you leave the doors/windows unlocked"? Whey did you do/not do such and such. (Oh, I get it. It's my fault that someone else chose to break the law? Uh huh. Splendid.

Because this is a different era. People are being more careful. The world has gone cattywampus, and lots of us are sick of being hurt and/or jacked around. It sucks. You love someone, and then they trash your heart. After awhile you get cranky and mean, even if you weren't that way before. TIRED OF BEING HURT.
