RE: who are the worlds best filmmakers ..and why ?

Always been a Hayao Miyazaki fan, myself...
and his prodigy Goro Miyazaki, as well.
Henri Alekan is a big favorite as well.

RE: It's a Man's World?

Sometimes it just takes a bit to get used to everyone's style of posting & such.
We try not to bear grudges here.

RE: Why are the ones you want always in another country!!

You know, it's funny...
I flew all the way to Italy once, just to go out on a date with one man.
He's a lovely guy but the only thing that differed was the atmosphere.
Same went in Germany & Spain.
I think it's easier to feel like falling in love if the setting is in your favor...
but the good men really are everywhere.

grin

RE: Do you believe you can meet your other half in CS?

It certainly looks like it.
:)

Tacky is...

Tacky is thinking cheating on a girl with one of her exlovers is a good way to win her heart!
wow

RE: It's a Man's World?

Intresting point...
and to think, he couldn't recognize my dry humor.
How ironic.

I answered the thread topic.
Now, you're a big boy, you can decide for yourself who to respect.

RE: It's a Man's World?

Ironicly, women like:

Josephine Baker who refused to perform for segregated audiences in the United States & even adopted a "rainbow tribe" of international children to promote unity.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who added grace in her actions(especially international diplomatic relations), charity in her choices(such as buying goods from impovished areas) & a sense of historical pride(she initiated Congressional bills to support historical rocordings with the Smithsonian) to the US.

Rosalynn Carter who vigorously volunteered & supported the constant improment of handicapped & children's health services.

RE: What turns you on?

To turn my head, something quirky but endearing will do.
To keep my attention,
being supportive without getting controlling, especially when things get tough...
A clean healthy body...
Having dreams.
(another words, make me go *hmmm...)

:)

RE: I love...I need....I want...

I love living.

I need little.

I want happiness.
:)

RE: If you born again...in which time of the time would you like???

I think living around the 1880's at the end of the Indian Wars would suit me.
I could be one of the first women to ride a horse in pants while enjoying values of innocence, honor and sacrifice. I can just see myself as being a big ranch owner having outlived three husbands & raising 4 kids.

RE: Help! Computer problems - Serious replies appreciated! (silly replies barely tolerated)

One quick note...

Should you find you have to pull the hard drive BEFORE you connect it to anything...
freeze it!
I know it sounds nutty but wrap it in a paper towel & carefully put it in a generously sized ziplock bag.
Let it sit there for at least 2 hrs.
It's a trick we techs use to save HDs from some forms of short term damages.

RE: Don't miss this once in a lifetime offer

At one point, a group of my net buddies & I got together & responded.
We has so much fun using thier obvious lack of understanding of the english laungage to sew themes into each letter.
It started with little twists in the writing accents.
Since the girl who wrote was russian, it was too easy.
Things like "I wish for to make happy with your mother too. I dream of her so happy with me."..."much pleasure would make me happy, very very happy."
She never even noticed how much silliness we had woven into each letter. We even had a forum for posting each letter sent & recieved. It got up to about 15 letters back & forth.
In the end it was funny, it literly looked like we had been dealing with shift working letter writers.

*sigh... ways to have fun with scammers 101...

It's bedtime.

RE: Anyone trained a puppy?? ADVICE PLEASE!

Ok, so you won't have to worry about her background if she can from a breeder.
I wouldn't worry about your son, by the time he's old enough to work with her, she'll be trianed.
:)
Terriers are pretty smart. Potty training shouldn't take much effort.
The breed learns quickly, so try to take her out after waking up, meals & playtime.
That will get her into the habit of understanding where potty needs to happen. When you're not around, keeping her kennel trained with a pad will help.
Always try to remember: When using a kennel, it needs to be her safe spot & a quiet timeout place. If she retreats into her kennel, simply leave her until she comes out. This will reinforce future training, including "bad dog" timeouts.
She's very young & she will not grasp many other commands until she gets a bit older(like around 2-3 months min.).
Terriers can get excited very easily, so you're going to have to use a controlled tone of voice with her to keep her from thinking everything means playtime.
They tend to bond tightly to who they perceive as Apha.
She'll be a sensitive & smart companion ... no doubt you'll enjoy having her around.

I wish you a world of joy with your new friend.

RE: Y DID I WAKE UP AT 5AM??

Funny, I can touch & handle bugs all day long.
They don't bother me until they fly into my ears.
It's my no fly zone & I get quite annoyed about it.

*awww...

I have a feeling there are lots of dates that have ended with flashing lights.
Mine did, too.
I went for a ride to the countryside to watch the eclipse only to have those flashinglights break up a romantic kiss... and totally ruin the mood.

RE: I HATE BEING SINGLE

Being single doesn't bother me.
I've learned it's not a big red scarlet letter & if oyu try, you can learn to enjoy it.
That doesn't mean you have to stay single, but rather you simply learn to be happy while you are.
Besides... a happy single guy is much more appealing than a sour unhappy lonely one.

Dating History 101...

I once went out on a date with an Oklahoma State bullriding champion.
It was interesting enough, until I met his wife. He acted like there was nothing going on...
saying, "Hey! you remember me?" to me in front of her.
We were not amused... but she was really nice(and he went away).
*shrug...

RE: win 100.000.000

I'd pay for college so I don't have to keep making nicelike with these federal loan programs & filling out grant applications!
