Sometimes you want things to work out so bad, the red flags don't matter anymore. You fall so in love and put so much trust in a person, you can't believe they were actually using you.
Like I said, I have been through a similar situation. I hope you will find the strength to just let go and move forward....best of luck to you...
Tiger Woods is a gutless coward like all men who cheat on their wives.
It was AMAZING to see the 180 degree difference between a real man like Phil Mickelson go over to his wife with tears in his eyes after he won. She and Phil's mom have been battling breast cancer this past year. It has been a very hard year for Phil's whole family and to see that picture of him hugging and kissing his wife was so beautiful I cried.
Compare that to a phony ego maniac like Woods who has a beautiful wife and children yet still chose to cheat...what a pathetic loser.
Sorry I couldn't be on to answer all of your wonderful and thoughtful posts. I was talking to my friend, the focus of this thread on the phone.
I read all of your posts and I am very pleased at the response. Thank you all for taking the time and giving me some feedback.
To summarize, my friend is a wonderful man. He was hurt in college and only missed half a semester. He went back and finished and has a degree in marketing.
He has a full time job in management and owns his own home and car. He lives alone (except for his roommate Eddie, who is his dog), and leads an exemplary life.
He volunteers all the time including teaching ESL and is in training in becoming a Big Brother. He has a great personality and NEVER complains about the hardships he faces everyday.
I know I am painting a rosy picture, but I love him like a little brother. I even was able to hold him when he was a newborn...I was 5 at the time (yes his mom helped me hold him). This guy is a winner and deserves respect. He treats others wonderfully and always has a smile and something humorous to say.
I could keep going on and on....he is such an inspiration that it is a shame he has a difficult time meeting someone. He would treat them great and make them very happy.
Too bad the women he has come in contact with think about dating the wheelchair instead of dating the man.
