Keeps improving? They only got the 3 month figures yesterday so how are they keeping on improving from yesterday?dunno

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Look familier? Second paragraph! You are some goon.rolling on the floor laughing
Copying and pasting and pretending to know about something. Sad really.

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

We wont as in "The Irish government wont enforce its own 12.5% corporation tax rate. Most pay between 4% and 6%. I am glad you read every single thing I post. I like people who follow me.

Heading for recession...On the brink of recession? But not in recession and nobody can say they will definitely be in one. They have unemployment of 5.5%. They have a AAA rating, very low inflation and Moodys gave them a stable outlook. So I would definitely say its not only a strong economy but one of the strongest in the world!

You are a joke bdsit man. You see a post from me and the google away to see if there is anything you can find to have an argument. The above is cut and pasted. You haven't a clue about economics or Germany. So don't try to pretend you have! Germany is in a healty position at the moment. It has low debts and a strong economy.

I am telling you. Britain claimed to be out of recession today on 3 month figures....Does the world deal with 3 month figures bedsit man? No! It deals in yearly figures and Germany is strong at the moment you fool.roll eyes

I dont know why I am even replying to you. You haven't a clue...You just google and cut a paste.,..Absolute idiot.laugh

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

I'm not describing them as victims....Its the other 400,000 good Irish Citizans who woked hard, payed taxes and done their best I think are victims.

You would punish them just to punish the 50,000 wasters which is really unfair. You are putting the cart before the horse. Lets get the economy up and running, lets get people who want them, jobs...and then we can look at the wasters.

But cutting welfare now only hurts good people who deserve protection from poverty from the state...just like you expect the state to give you protection from things.

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

There are a small portion but you bang on like its them all. 450,000 people are on the register. Probably 50,000 approx are wasters. This is not an Irish problem, there are wasters all over the EU. So why keep bringing them up when we have discussion on welfare or poverty?

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

But you cant say that. You dont know peoples cicumstances. You dont know what bills they have, how much money they get. You cant make a sweeping statement like that without knowing peoples circumstances.

Oh stop will ya. WW2 was 70 years ago and they used all available land to grow food. You cant compare generation like that.

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Where there is a will there is a way. We are all architects of our own destiny.rolling on the floor laughing Any more silly quotes. I notice you still have no answers to my questions...Tells me all I need to know.roll eyes

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Some do? I am sick of hearing about these few and then people like you thinking its alright to throw everyone in thaty boat. Germany, Holland and the Nordic countries all have strong economies...They have between 3% and 6% unemployment. This is because of a portion of people who are in between jobs for one reason or another and a tiny amount of people who wont work.

We are they same...a tiny amount...most of the 100,000 would have been between jobs. But people like you always come up with "I know a bloke, driving a Merc, Living in a palace, never worked a day in his life...bla bla bla"

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

So because someone in North Donegal can hunt, fish, grow veg you think people in Dublin can. So you put it in your solution. Tells us all we need to know about your solutions really.roll eyes

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Inaction? So you have given great solutions have you. Lets take a single parent living with two kids in a blck of apartments in Blanchardstown Dublin.

How do they go fishing? Where do they go fishing? How do they buy a licence or rod with no money? Where is their nearest allotments? How much do they cost? How do they get there? What country will accept them for immigration if they have no skills? How to they relocate with no money?

Thats just a few questions I am sure you have the answers to seems you gave us those "solutions". I am waiting for them.dunno

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

And do you know anything about economics? First of all that is a 3 month figure....not Year to date....secondly the Olympics were during that time as it says...and thirdly even if it was the end of the recession the last thing to pick up when a recession end is employment. IF at the end of this year the UK is still in growth you wont see it in employmeny figures until 2014 at the earliest.

Thus making my point valid about emigrating there!roll eyes

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Well according to the BBC they are in the second phase of a double dip recession. And if there are so many jobs over there why don't you get one!laugh

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Also what action have they chosen? People do not choose to be poor, hungry or on the dole. Ignorant comment really.

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

Yes it's the damn unemployed peoples fault for having kids in the first place. Why not make it illegal for them to have kids...or we could steralise them!

The damn unemployed again. Going hungry and letting the kids go hungry so they can by some Dutch Gold. I believe as soon as you lose your job your love for your kids just goes away!

Well there are no jobs nationally and anyone who can emigrate seems to be doing so. People who cant afford food tough might have a problem with the cost or relocating to Oz or Canada. And most would not get in with the strict rules. The UK and US are in recession so no jobs there either.???Yes? No?

This has to be the best one? An allotment for all 450,000 without jobs. Allotemnts cost money, fishing licenece and rods cost money and what if you dont catch anything. Are Veg seeds free too? How do I get to the allotment? If I have no meny for food do I have ot for busfare? Maybe walk from Dublin to the countryside! Thats the solution!

Healty meals? With what? Air? People can't afford enough food and last time I looked a meal needs ingredients.

Great idea. Just go out and wish yourself up a job. It works. Or start a business with the left over meny after you buy food...No wait I cant afford food...Proactive...mmmm...Wonder why 450,000 people are on the dole when all they had to be was proactive.

Do you actually read your posts?roll eyes

RE: Food Poverty and Consequence.....

There is huge food poverty in Ireland. It is the unemployed that are mainly affected but also some working people as they struggle to pay bills and pay the extra taxes being lumped on them every year.

The government are happy to let charities take the load as they really dont care. It is something they choose to ignore as it is not a view they want people to have of Ireland.

The one obvious solution is to get corporations to pay their tax. We have a corporation tax rate at the monet of 12.5%. Studies have shown that they really only pay 4-6% tax/ If we got them to pay the full amount we would hvae an extra 4 billion in taxes every year. All we have to do is get them to pay the legal amount of tax they agreed to. But we wont.

It will never change...In the good times rich people will get richer...poor people will stay poor...in the bad times the poor people will be hit to pay for the rich peoples mistakes.

Welcome to Ireland people...hasn't changed at all since Mr. Haughey was in charge!

RE: did you ever meet people after chatting on line

No. I dont use the site to make friends or meet women. I have friends and prefer to meet women the old fashioned way. Drunk in a club.laugh

But the forums pass the time sometimes when I am at a loose end.

RE: When will the EURO collapse because of the debt crisis?

Do you know how much Germany hets from the Euro? Do you know how much money you would loose in exports if you went back to the deutschmark? The deutschmark would be worth at least 30% more than the Euro and that would kill your export industry. And your government knows this and thats why they are fighting to keep it.

As an Irish man I would love to see it go. The Euro is doing Ireland no good. It was the ECB that told the Irish goverment not to let any banks fail and thus cost the Irish Tax payer about 80 billion. And when we then say we stopped a domino effect of banks collapsing in Europe by bailing out our banks and paying their debts to GERMAN and French banks we get no thanks at all. We just get more debt lumped on us by Germany and France.

But after WWII the world forgave Germany its debts but for some reason now the German people dont like to remember those times. They like to think of that Germany as a different country!

I hope the Euro fails and fails soon!

RE: halloween bonfires

None around where I live now. When I was younger we spent 2 months collecting wood for the bonfire. It was like a military operation. You had to protect your wood from kids from different estates as they would rob it if they found it and visa versa.laugh Also the fire brigare would try to take it if some oul biddy reported it!

Happy days.laugh

RE: Married Men On C.S

First of all you would have to make sure you have your "facts" straight. Then I would approach the husband before her and tell him if it doesn't end you'll tell her.

Telling her will pull her world apart so I would have that as my very last option.

RE: Stoners.....

Depends really. If they have a full life and do other stuff other than smoke weed all day then grand. But if they just sit around smoking all day then no.
It's like saying would you date a drinker. Depends how heavy a drinker and how the drinks effects life around them.

RE: single mothers

I have dated single Moms in the past but I have always been very honest and upfront from the start. I tell them it won't lead to anything serious as I dont want a pre prepared family. If I raise kids (Dont know it I want them) I want them to be my own and I'm always very honest about that.

Now I just tend to date women who don't have kids as it's far easier and there is less hassle. Plus you dont have to check if they can get a babysitter before making plans and you don't have the ex problems either.

RE: ok who likes my religious theme threads here..........the poll will decide...:)

Nothing wrong with putting up a religious thread or any other topic that interests you. It's when you start telling people you don't know from Adam, what "family" they belong to and what religion they are wheather they like it or not, is when you over step the mark.

Your religious beliefs are yours not eveyones. You should keep that in mind.

RE: are you prepared to meet God when you die.....?

We dont have topics on the Irish threads. It just comes up in the threads. I have no problem with you starting a religious thread.

Its when you start telling people what they are, or are not, or what "family they are in wheather they like it or not...and things like that I have a problem with.

You have no right to tell people what "family" they belong to or what religion or faith they are just because of something that happened to them as a child. You can choose your religion but you certainly have no right to choose other peoples!

RE: Multiple Profiles.

Never been blocked.laugh

Cause I dont mail anyone.laugh

Been banned from plenty of threads tough.

RE: are you prepared to meet God when you die.....?

I'm not going mad. Simply pointing out the flaws in your thinking. grin

We live in a free society. People can choose their religion or not to have one. Having water poured on your head as a baby or oil on your forehead at 12 years of age does not make you part of any family. People CHOOSE to be a member of that "family", just like others can choose not to be.roll eyes
