Fat Frogs were great. Green frog Ice Pops....were would ya get it. I also loved thataways, draculas, hiawatas, feasts, Mr. Freeze.....just looking at the HB poster on the side of the fridge used to get me going as a kid!

There was a show on RTE a few weeks back about the FAT clinic in some hospital. There was a bloke who was huge and had an infection in his ball bag....they could not operate cause his size...his ball bag was the size of a Tesco bag and it used to hang down his trouser leg!

You are so right. The taxes multi nationals pay is a fraction of the 12% they are supposed to and if we made them pay closer to the 12% they would not leave as we are told. Our corp tax is so much lower than the rest of the EU and our position right beside the UK would still have them coming here in droves.

Enda also said he did not make high earners pay more tax in the budget as it would stop multi nationals settling in Ireland. Such a pile of crap. What multi national is going to give up such a low tax rate so their executives can earn a few % more.

The current government are grey haired old men who have never had to struggle in their life. They are so far detatched from what the ordinary person is going through its unreal. That arsehole Gilmore is burying the Labour party with his policies and he doesn't care because he wont be running for election again. Him and Rabbitte will retire on their big fat pensions and Gilmores wife will have the cushy job he got her.

Well the IMF have come out now and said we are cutting too much too soon and its damaging the economy. Exactly what I have been saying on here.

The Indo. today "IRELAND should not impose further austerity even if growth targets are missed next year, the IMF has said.

The agency also called on Europe to honour pledges to help make Ireland's debt more sustainable, in its latest review of the country's finances.

It outlined fears that growth may be weaker than expected during 2013 - but does not advocate more austerity.

Instead it advises the coalition that if it is failing to reach economic targets next year, it should not rush to bring in any further cutbacks, for fear of damaging any fragile growth. Instead the economic targets could be pushed out until 2015 to help recovery.

The IMF made the statement as it approved its eighth review of the bailout programme, authorising the release of a further €890m funding under the bailout terms."

Sick and dying cancer patients are being pursued by cash-strapped public hospitals for €75 a day for chemotherapy treatment.

Debt collectors are being employed in some cases to pursue the patients for the daycare fees, which are capped at €750 in one year.

The hospitals are entitled to impose the day charge under long-established legislation, but until recently most were exempting cancer patients from the levy.

The distress caused to patients fighting a life-threatening illness has been highlighted by the Irish Cancer Society, which is fielding a growing number of helpline calls in the past three weeks about the practice.

He is an idiot. A similar thing happened here recently. A well known university dean complained that he was finding it hard to live on his 280k a year salary. People like that just like in a different world. They have been spoiled so long they dont know how lucky they are.

So Palestine is recognised as a State by the UN just like Israel is recognised as a state by the UN.

Its very ironic that it was the UN that created the state of Israel but no Israel and the US refuse to recognise the exact same procedure by the UN.
