I do admire your values.....but friends are friends and thats what keeps some people here even if they are in a relationship. Perhaps some people sincerely forget to change their profile status.
Evergreene I can identify when you say you analyze but I would use the term OVER ANALYZE..my friends used that with me.You work out every scenario in your head.. what you will say ..what she will say etc etc....sadly the scenario when it actually happens doesnt pan out that way so you wonder what went wrong even if in reality nothing did go wrong. Doing this you also may be sabotaging any relationship or the possibility of one because if YOU kill it of then YOU wont be rejected.

Just a few points I wanted to bring up re finances...just food for thought.... When in your 30,s or 40,s there are still a lot of years ahead to become financially secure before retirement. In your 60,s it becomes increasingly difficult to bounce back if you loose some of the assets you have accumulated..more so for women who due to raising a family have been out of the work force a long time. Men who have gone through divorce and lost some of their assets may be more afraid and concerned about the financial side of a new relationship than a widower who hasnt lost money through losing his partner.

Each one of us has their own set of normal....I get up and have a coffee..for me thats normal....
someone else may get up and have a cup of tea..for them thats normal...
