we see it with Twitter, Facebook, CS you name it, people are influenced by their peers thoughts, recommendations and views.
Some just nod their heads like a herd of sheep following the leader and are unable to speak up and say what they think for fear of upsetting their peers views.
Everyone has their view, some a little extreme, but we are in a free world and there needs to be alternative view points in these threads to make for interesting conversation as if we all just agree with one another, that would be boring as watching grass grow.

Would've thought that most people are willing to put their 2c worth in, whether it be on here or most other places conversing

No, with the lefties it is not an exchange of competition of ideas, it is bullying and vicious personal attacks on the speaker, rather than a critique of what they have to say.
It is a sign of people whose ideology has no substance to support it, so they rely on thuggery. It is the same on the streets.

I see that, I was looking forward to his reply.
I know we have a few people who like to say yeah and what he/she said a lot. I think to improve the experience, people have to use their noggin and give a response that fills the dots in.

However you never know who is watching/reading and next thing you know..

At least if you speak your mind, you are true to your values even if it means time out in Siberia.

That's mob mentality at its best laugh

There's a scientific finding that discusses the hysteria that arises when large groups of excited people get together at an event such as this (as well as pop concerts etc.)

It's similar to the ecstatic state that is reached when a group of Masai warriors, for example, perform their ritual dances, the mood and experience being heightened by mass euphoria.
