reminds me of the time I had been in the exam room for about 45 minutes waiting for the doc, so I called the front desk with my cellphone to ask how much longer it was going to take.

Not all of them are on welfare because they REFUSE to work. A lot actually can’t. An example would be the elderly woman who had so many medical problems it would take a whole page to list them. To give you an idea, she even had to have shunts put in to her neck to keep the blood flowing to her brain (yikes!). As her nurse, I had to give her 28 meds in the morning, 5 at noon, 25 before bed, and three injections a day. So, you want to boot her out too, especially to make room for some criminal?
FYI – My experience with Canadians is that they do want to marry Americans. Took me 4 years and a court order to finally shake one LOL

Which is exactly what these illegals are trying to do. They are trying to come to the US and take advantage of what the American people have built this country to be. They aren’t willing to put in the necessary effort to improve their own country, so they are basically trying to steal ours.

First how about you tell me what was so lacking in respect for civilized behavior. Or do you actually believe that if your house is a mess you should just walk away from it and go trash the neighbors?
As far as most of the rest of your post is concerned, just didn't make any kind of sense to me. I also am confused as to why those in other countries PRETEND they know or even remotely understand what legal citizens are having to endure due to the illegal immigrants. It simply isn't the case. You may comment on conditions in your own country, but don't pretend that your experience is applicable to one you have no real knowledge of.

Just curious as to how people react to this illegal, especially those who are attempting to defend illegal immigration. I REALLY wish America would take the same stand as the quotes from the Australians.

IMO, it means that they don't buy into this garbage about how Islam only preaches peace, or that Christians are any better than Jews, or that Aliens are the true prophets... we just believe in God (some may have other names for their god), a higher power, and don't get all caught up in mob mentality. I think that those who are spiritual as opposed to religious, actually ask more questions, listen to the answers, and make decisions for ourselves instead of being TOLD what to think.

Sorry, but a ho is a ho is a ho. I get so sick of people always trying to say that "they had to do it", when they didn't. Just easier to spread their legs than stand on them and really put some effort into it. And if you allow yourself to be "bought" EXPECT to be treated like the object you have reduced yourself to.

He fulfills his part/plays his role well. I fully believe that much of his behavior is in response to the way it increases ratings for the show.

Thank goodness my kid is finally as bored by the show as I always have been. SHE doesn't even want to waste her time watching it this season

LOL The only moonshine I have ever encountered smelled like moldy orange peels, as did the people who were drinking it. Ick and Yuck, didn't even want to taste it.
But I do make what the experts call "excellent" wine, and it has a bit of an extra kick to it, so maybe that would be close enough for y'all.

Hmmm, all the years I lived in Barbados, only slept with the fans on to keep the mosquitoes from landing and biting while we slept. Worst was for someone born and raised in Washington not being able to find a blanket in the whole house (wierd to us, so I ended up making one). And the kids loved to run outside in the middle of one of those torrential down pours. Once the boss was out doing errands and called back to say that he had gotten stuck in 2 feet of water after a 15 minute rain LOL
As far as snow goes...it is cold like ice, and melts when it gets to your skin, which can make you itch, especially if you are wearing wool. If you stay out long enough the cold gets to your bones and they really ache. After almost losing my hand, I wouldn't advice any little kid to carry a 3 foot icicle all the way to school to show your favorite teacher.
If you want to experience snow, get one of those snocone makers and start shaving ice. Good luck getting a big pile of it though. I had to set every fan in the house on a cake I was trying to frost, just so the heat wouldn't melt the frosting before I got it done.
My best suggestion, would be to make friends with any restaurant worker that could get you in the walk in fridge or freezer for 5 minutes LOL

LOL First I would like to mention, that people coming into this forum need to read a few posts before you can even tell what you are talking about legalizing and such But hey, I got it.

Marijuana - leave it the hell alone, and shouldn't be any more regulated than coffee, and a lot less than alcohol. People should be allowed to grow their own along with their tomatoes. Has about as much affect on a person as caffeine.

Crack, meth, heroin...I would take the assault charges any day if anyone came near me or mine with the stuff.

I agree with your friend. After you get familiar with these sites, I just take all the fabrications as comic relief, and NEVER believe anything anyone types really. They can show me face to face how real they are, or aren't. Sure there are liars in the real world too, but a lot easier to get busted in real life than the cyber world. I honestly believe that a large percentage of the profiles on here are posted by people who are projecting an imaginary personna, like they are still playing make believe with their Barbies and GI Joes. Bummer for the real people, for some how we seem to weed out those types and sometimes find REAL PEOPLE.

The only detail I sometimes leave out is the age I was when I did whatever it was. I wait until they are at least past that age before they hear that part. I also admit that I wasn't always perfectly behaved, and being such a rotten kid, there is nothing they can think of doing that I haven't already done, and well enough to get away with LOL

I tell them point blank that I try to do better than my parents so they won't have to leave home at 14, and admit that I was not exactly of stellar conduct at all times LOL I also give them props when they handle something better than I would have, and admit to what I would have done.

I figure, if I lie to them, it gives them the idea lying is ok, and they would start lying to me. Always taught them, the lie you tell to cover up for a wrong is going to be worse than the wrong, because it proves you KNEW it was wrong, so you shouldn't have done it in the first place.

This is the most extreme thing I have heard of Catholics doing. I think it is way over the top, but at least they are only putting holes in themselves and not hurting other people.

Actually, there are those that do. And the constant CRAP about how all of this killing would stop if the US just up and left, is exactly that, CRAP. I honestly don’t think that anything we do will bring peace between the sects. Even if we did play mommy/referee down there til everyone was playing nice, the second the “cat was away…” it would just start up again, like it is in so many other places. And I will always see the big difference between “us” and “them” being the fact that we don’t PURPOSELY MURDER CHILDREN AS AN ACCEPTED MILITARY TACTIC. That alone makes me wish every horrid thing on every one of them that does it. (I notice how often this fact is dodged.) Or do you have some kind of rationalization that would justify this?

I am not at all influenced by opinions, which are usually slanted toward the writer’s views. I for one will not be led around by the nose by the media. With all the sensationalism and fighting for headlines, they are about as honest as politicians. Find another writer with opposing views, have him write an article on the same subject, and that writer would probably find examples etc to say the exact opposite. Just not RELIABLE or FACTUAL.

I also think it speaks volumes when there are constant attacks on areas KNOWN to be packed with children. Guess it wasn’t enough strapping bombs to their own kids. This is the ultimate act of sickness IMO. And saying that they weren’t being hurt until the US got there is a flat out lie. Coming from generations of “kid advocates” I get my hackles up any time kids are being hurt, as they are the ones who are usually the last to be blamed, and are the most innocent victims. The fact that these radicals make a point of attacking non combatants, (unless you want to call a bunch of office workers in the towers a part of this whole war) instead of just having the back bone to come out of hiding (yeah, wear identifiable uniforms and such instead of using women and children as shields) and fight like men (yeah, their tactics alone cause me to have NO respect for them, and laugh at the idea they think they have ANY kind of honor) just proves what lowly cowards they really are.

Wow, I sure am glad I didn't read this a few years ago. While in the Caribbean there were frogs this size and bigger in the yard every night. Several times we found them still in the swimming pool the next morning. Wouldn't have found it as funny and interesting if I had been worried about them eating one of the kids (all were from 2-5 years old at the time, so not much bigger than a lot of dogs LOL)
