RE: If You Lived EVeryday Like Your Last Wouldn't You be

RFLMAO, when I saw the title of the thread, the first thing that came to mind was "BROKE".

RE: Sounds like a fun place to visit...lol

Due to the fact that I have a basic inability to cow tow to BS, I wrote off the idea of visiting a lot of countries like this years ago. I get enough hate looks just for laughing out loud at chavanistic men in other cultures, can you imagine what would happen if I dared to tell them just what a joke I thought they were?! Yep, I would be beheaded inside of a week if I got dumped in one of those places.rolling on the floor laughing

"I'm a hazard to myself.
Don't let me get me!
I'm my own worst enemy.
So bad when you annoy yourself.
So irritating.
Don't wanna to be my friend no more.
I want to be somebody else"

But, as always when I am having one of these days, I'll get over it LOL

RE: Whats your favorate island in the Carribean?

LOL Depends on whether you are just there for a visit or have to live there.
Barbados = slimy, dirty, perverse slice of hell with a lot of evolving to do, but that can be said of most of the areas mentioned. But I did notice, as Raynew sort of mentioned, there are a lot of other countries that send their guys there to practice military maneuvers. And I am sorry, but the little round ball on the Swedish (I think) navy guys’ hats made us laugh out loud. Just looked kinda silly to us. Nice enough guys so they didn’t get mad or anything.
St. Lucia, a bit better in some scenery ways, but not even as advanced as barbaric Barbados.
Dominican Republic = I just laugh at the idea of even paying penny one to go to that place again. Ick, yuck, and bring your own food LOL
Trinidad and Tobago = Wouldn’t even got there for a visit after working with others from that place. My experience was that they are very full of themselves, and forget anyone trying to threaten me with black magic. Laughed in their faces with that one, so I don’t think those who buy into that lunacy would appreciate my presence much LOL
Mexico = They moved that to the Caribbean? So how are they all still getting to the US? Swimming?

RE: NO School ... WTF

Ha! You didn't know daddy LOL No pants, or even short hair on girls or women for most of my childhood.

RE: NO School ... WTF

Ninamoosha-My mom made us wear anklets, and we would yank on those things to try to make them come to our knees. Didn't get to wear pants til about 3rd grade. But I would have gotten those bullies for ya'!!!!!!
And boy have I seen those kids, with no coats, only short sleeves, and sometimes even shorts!!!!!!!!!!!!! waiting at the bus stops. First thing that comes to mind is always, "Do they even HAVE parents?"
Mine may complain when I tell them to wear something warmer, as mom couldn't care less whether or not it is "cool", but they know they are wasting their time LOL

RE: Make a difference...get informed or help educate

Ok, guess I am a freak.
Yeah, we recycle everything possible. Even the styrafoam things meat comes on get crumbled up and put in the bottom of the potted plants in the house for drainage, instead of throwing them in the trash. Yeah, I grow a lot of my own food organically. Yeah, the yard cuttings are composted and not sent to the dump. Yeah, I knead the bread by hand the old fashioned way instead of getting one of those bread machines. Yeah, I limit my driving as much as possible. Yeah, we keep all unused lights off. Yeah, I make my own candles and use them instead of lights. Yeah, I live within my means instead of using credit........
LOL and beware of my sibling the tree hugger. Nothing sets him off faster than environmental crimes.
Just do what I can where ever I can, if only a tiny bit in the overall.
peace

RE: What Would You Do If The Person You Loved Gained Alot Of Weight?

And their heart, amongst other things, is why I would never just watch someone I loved gain all that weight in the first place. I would want them to live longer.
For crying out loud, I even put my dog on a diet when he started getting a bit thick. Not even good for a mutt. Extra stress on the joints and such.

RE: I'm Looking for a Shot-Gun Suggestions On What Kind Is Needed..

Um, if you are new at this, I would suggest something that didn't have a wide range blast. Try something that you can practice your aim with first, please crying I would suggest you get that perfected before you increase fire power.

RE: tattoos and piercings

I got my tat when I was 19. NOT a pain freak by a long shot LOL so I gave up on the idea of putting it on my baby toe (just a tiny one that I designed myself so it is one of a kind). I opted for a spot that can only be seen if I am wearing a bikini or less, and still regret it some times.
In the professional business world, tats are not really acceptable. They will be tolerated if you are really that good at what you do, but will cause you to lose a job at the interview phase. Same with piercings (anything besides one in each ear in females only). Just a fact of life that some still have negative ideas about them. Always feel sorry for those girls who got them on their ankles, calves, and other not so hidden spots, especially when I see the looks of disgust they get behind their backs. Looks tacky and unprofessional. Same with all those excessive piercings. Granted, in some jobs, all of this may be ok, but not in any field I have ever worked in.
Also, since mine was in an area affected by having kids, yeah, they can stretch out, and then shrink back, but don't quite look the same. Once again, very glad I went for a tiny, discreet one.
For me, men with tats have to have tasteful ones, and no, I don't care for any piercings on them at all.

RE: Who does their own tax returns, who does not and if not who does yours?

I've had to do my own tax returns since I was 16, and used to have my mom check it over for the first few years, but she didn't do it for me. Haven't ever had anyone else do it, and have never had to pay in. Either came out even or got a refund.

RE: NO School ... WTF

I guess I was the one all you guys probably hated. Lived across the street from the school. crying

RE: War in Iraq propelling a massive migration

I think the question was why are the Iraqis running instead of dealing with it. I sure don't understand why they wouldn't just turn around and deal with their own trash. THEY DO KNOW who the enemy is, far better than the soldiers from other countries who are there fighting for them, because they are too cowardly perhaps? Or maybe just too lazy to do anything for themselves. Truth is, if they had dealt with the terrorists they claim to disapprove of so much, on their own, we wouldn't have ever been there in the first place.

RE: party like your in Canada!!

Ugh! I do remember those "tomato beers". A friend used to drink them every time she woke up with a hangover, and being basically a drunk, that was a lot of mornings. Used to make me sick just to look at the stuff because it looked like coagulating blood to me. Maybe that is when I swore off breakfast for life confused rolling on the floor laughing
But yeah, I would still have her "supplies" in the refrigerator before we even went out in the first place. A friend in need...rolling on the floor laughing

Your lack of success is because of racial inequality?

RE: Okay, all you middle age Baby Boomers..Do you still go to Drive In movie theaters?

I know that I went to the drive in about 6 times when the movie Star Wars was running. LOL Still haven't seen that movie. Just partying in the parking lot.

Border policy’s success strains resources

Although they only amount to a drop in the bucket, I think the few scant examples that Lion provided should be more than enough to illustrate reason enough to want to get rid of them, and why so many Americans are so completely unsympathetic to their complaints. I have to agree with all of those who just want to ship them back, if they make it across the border in one piece in the first place. They know they are breaking the law, they know we don't want them here, so why should WE pretend otherwise. They know better and deserve whatever happens to them in the commission of their crimes. Here's to hoping texas is a good shot!

RE: Martin Luther King's dream

MLK day turns my stomach. He was just a loud mouth punk, with a lot of money, influence, and bodyguards to hide behind when things got tough for him, and didn't have half the backbone as Rosa Parks. Name the day after her, and I would definitely be more impressed.

RE: party like your in Canada!!

Party like you are in Canada? Hmm, bogus bud stench and rude people, so just grab their extra strong beer and go to a corner where you can drink yourself to sleep.
Yeah, been to them before.

RE: How often do you judge yourself...

LOL not easy is it.

RE: What are your expectations on a 1st Date?

The only thing I expect out of a first date is for him to show up on time and carry his end of the conversation.

Biden to run for president in 2008

But, but, if Bush were about 20 years older things could be a lot better. Just think, he could be worm food by now and not messing up our country rolling on the floor laughing

RE: How often do you judge yourself...

“I judge myself 10 times harsher than anyone could ever possibly think of doing....I am my own worst critic and always have been!!!!”

Yep, guilty of that as well. But in all fairness, I know that the standards I set for myself are unreasonably high, and certainly don’t expect anyone else to meet them. When it comes to other people, my first reaction is to be curious as to why they did/said/whatever, what they did. Try to understand the motivation and such, before even pretending I understand any of it.

“why do I think you knew before him what his response would be ”
Because just about every woman has seen the difference in the way men act/react, when we employ those smoke and mirrors. That is why some cling to them so desperately. I think the more a woman uses them, the less self esteem she has, thinking she needs it in the first place. I am so sick of the way men pressure women to put on appearances, that not only is there no way I am going to waste time on some fancy do to work on my car, when some bald fool comes out and makes a crack about my braid, “Geez! Nice hair doo.” I responded with a sharp, “Well at least I HAVE hair.” LOL

“all the time ...but I have a problem with authority ”
hehehehe so do I

RE: Whats up with all the religious threads?

LOL I pretty much just get a chuckle out of any hysterical ranting on any topic.

RE: Why is it that it costs a whole heap of money..........

When trying to ditch the prego weight, I read up on foods that actually burn more calories to consume and digest, than the food has in them. While I was preg I was eating apples, and my doc told me to knock it off because I would go in and weigh LESS than I had the week before. She had never seen someone lose weight while preg before.
Raw cauliflower, carrots, honey dew melon, are a few of the others.

RE: Who is SINGLE and loving it???

So am I. Has been almost 14 years for me. Finally stopped being such a workaholic, so now I have time.

RE: The Thing I Love....I Hate

Thanks for the response. The analogy really helped, now I get it, it is the pampering thing that people like. That makes sense. Sure, I can cook, but occassionally I would rather let someone eles do it for me, like at a restaurant. I guess I just don't like being touched by strangers so it would make me feel uncomfortable. For laughs I have let my daughter paint my nails, but use my hands too much for the polish to last very long.

Biden to run for president in 2008

I always wonder why so many people, idiot ones, in the rest of the world actually thinks that the American people approve of Bush, and act like we have the same motives, rational (or should I say complete lack of) etc, as he does. Anyone can pull up a webpage and see just how low his approval rating is.

Border policy’s success strains resources

Noqueensfool, BACK UP THE TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And spare me your myths.
“So i guess all the stuff we see on the news over here about American people fighting for the rights of the worlds people is just crap.”
Rights are earned through proper conduct, NOT ILLEGAL ACTS!!!!

”And isn't it a little two faced to say we will go to another country to fight for the peoples rights, but if those same people come here, we will take all their human rights away from them?”
You seem to keep forgetting that the difference is whether they come here legally or not. Keep that fact in mind. Come here legally, you deserve rights, come here illegally and you are a criminal and should be charged, convicted and sentenced as such.

”An american girl asked me on messenger just a couple of weeks ago, "why does everybody hate us"?”

And I am asking why, if they hate us so much, they are all coming here or demanding that we send our aid there.

“They ALL come to the US to get away with stuff??
They are ALL cocky?
They ALL think they are owed something?”

Those that come here illegally, think they should be able to just get away with it, and then have the nerve to protest that we want to enforce our laws, HELL YES!

”What about the ones who are filing for residency?
US law says you are allowed to overstay as long as you are in the process of filing the apropriate paperwork to stay.”

That isn’t what we are talking about now is it? You just described someone going through the appropriate legal process. I haven’t seen any posts from anyone with a problem with that. I have only seen posts that protest this illegal activity. Perhaps, as Raynew said, you didn't do things properly.

“And dont forget to put the grey areas legal and illegal.”
There is no gray area in this issue. You may be confused because you aren’t familiar with the laws, being from a different country.

“They are doing...every day...hundreds of thousands of asians, and now polish...65,000 polish....and no, i dont like it. And yes i would ship them back.....”

So, it is acceptable for you to have that attitude but not those in the US. Ok, got it, you are just another hypocrite that wants to slam the US for the hell of it, gotcha.

“but while they were detained and waiting i would feed them and clothe them. And treat them in as humane a way as possible.”

If you had read through the whole article, you would have seen that they are getting as good as our own are overseas, and those soldiers deserve a heck of a lot better than a bunch of criminals, and the only ones saying that the conditions are bad are the attorneys that are working for these criminals. Guess you aren’t familiar with the way that stuff works either. Defense attorneys DO point blank lie and hide the truth to get their clients off, all the time. The court rules actually allow it.

“And actually what the US did to me was against US law...”
And we only have your word on all this about how you were treated while going through the legal process. If you are this confused about how the overall works, you may have just missed a filing date or something, because you didn’t understand the specific requirements of your situation. As far as businesses closing because we kick the criminals out, apparently you are a bit confused about the reality of that issue as well. NO! WE DO NOT NEED THEM!

RE: Whats up with all the religious threads?

LOL was clicking the button and finding that there were 25 pages good enough for you? Ain't no way I would be reading through all of them. Have come across enough of them just going through the forums, and...well, just nothing nice to say, so I will say nothing at all.dancing
