OCT. #, 2007 ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - Since rats first landed on a remote Aleutian island from a shipwreck, wildlife managers in Alaska are plotting how to evict the non-native rodent from the island that bears their name, Rat Island.
"They pretty much made the island worthless for a lot of wildlife," said Art Sowls, a biologist with the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge.
The agency is trying to find an effective way to wipe out rat populations without harming other wildlife.
Rats are a problem shared by many sites all around the world.
"A lot of people go, 'Oh they're just rats, what's the big deal?'," said Ron Clarke, assistant wildlife conservation director at the Department of Fish and Game.
Once informed about the environmental destruction wrought by rats, citizens are generally determined to avoid them. Rats are blamed for causing about half the extinctions of various species worldwide and are persistent nuisances once established.
"They're very good swimmers. They'll eat anything. They're just very good at surviving," Clarke said.
"The environmental damage created by the introduction of rats into the environment would is even worse than that of a major oil spill."
We see that where rats are introduced they decimate the long standing and natural population.
Researchers commonly find vast stretches no live birds, only rotting bodies stuffed into burrows.
"A lot of the birds you find, the only parts the rats eat are the eyeballs and the brains, and undoubtedly, unless something is done the rats will probably eliminate that colony.

i also think a couple is the foundation of a family and thats an important things for kids to see- the balance of self care and caring for others its an integral part of being a good 'boss'-LOL
often focusing on another for more than a short time is really helpful for not looking at ourselves, or thinking we dont deserve our own needs met or that unless we need nothing we will be seen as 'not worth it' and we will be abandoned

ok my religious view is that religion is man made-there re many god and that book invite a relationship-much like a parent parents try to suggest that certain actions reap certain things as for me-i eventually saw that some choices i had made ended up hurting, scarring and costing me-oh well-i was forgiven but feel blocked in forgiving myself sometimes

the biggest thing is that the adults have agreed teamwork and boundaries
a child is like a dog-no matter their age they relax only when the fences are strong (boundaries) otherwise they are anxious and constantly test they dont want to be and arent responsible for family dynamics
we must be agreed and keep a cool head be consistent and unemotional when reminding
takes practice thats fer sure and we arent perfect kids dont expect us to be-just loving and consistency/clarity helps them relax and feel loved even tho they dont realize it and will never thank you.
