People do, but maybe not as bluntly as you sometimes do. I know I try to be diplomatic...need to maintain the peace because many others use the site.

I think also, it comes down to how assured in yourself you are to begin with. Are you expressing a personal view, or intentionally tring to be controversial? If it's a personal view, then you have every right, and could remind the person you're expressing yourself too that this is the case. But if you're trying to be controversial, well, that's not so good.

Either way, folks are always gonna misinterpret from time to time...it's just how we deal with it on those occassions that determine wether or not a good spirit can be maintained.
