RE: Favourite Sayings

Hi Minnie - I would have thought American History might have mentioned her - Nancy Astor was in fact originally a Fiesty outspoken American who actually became the first woman elected to serve as an MP in the UK in 1919.

Kind regards
Mike

RE: Favourite Sayings

One I like is where Lady Astor after she became an MP told Winston Churchill, "If you were my husband, I'd poison your tea,"
His immediate comeback was
"And Madam, if you were my wife, I'd drink it!"

Another one is that Lady Astor once said to Churchill:
"Winston, you are drunk." - To which Churchill replied,
"And you, madam - are ugly - But in the morning I shall be sober,
and you will still be ugly."

RE: does no one ever reply :(

To whom it may concern - I neither intended nor implied that the payed sites were or are 100% as plainly they are not. laugh
To anyone who doubts what is written on my own profile all I say is that unlike some men I can prove all I say should it be required. professor

However, there appear to be some women on the forums, especially on the internationals, who seem to go out of their way to deliberately misinterpret anything some men say dunno even if it is said in obvious jest. grin

BUT - Those poor souls would probably look in a mirror and start a verbal
with themselves if they don't get any attention. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: does no one ever reply :(

FWIW - Since I have been on CS I have found that many women who have contacted me first either with the Flower or direct message, never respond after I write politely thanking them intelligently and without flippant remarks.

I have no idea of the CS male statistical findings, but many messages I get from women who contact me first are written in worse than primary school English, in text speak, with poor spelling, lack of any punctuation or capitals making the message hard to read and combinations of all those factors - and I don't mean typo's which we all make.

SO - I seldom make first contact with any woman now and agree with many other sincere men who say they are either time wasting or potential scammers.
Even the forums now have become generally flippant, moronic or in some cases offensive and downright warlike.

However - I do recognise the fact and have some sympathy with may women who say on the forums that when they have chosen to meet, they have been treated worse than crap and even violently by some so called *men* !!

There are better sites for those of us who are Seriously Seeking Someone, but they are not free.

RE: is being married really that important?

I don't think Marriage is a necessity when two people above the age of legal consent in any country, and regardless of their ages decide that they want to be together, and love each other.

RE: VOTING A CANDIDATE WHO PROBABLY WON'T WIN ELECTIONS.

In the UK voting for the three main parties has become a joke.
Most of the politicians standing for election are from wealthy backgrounds and never did a real job apart from work in Banks and the City so they are out of touch with the all the workforce and low paid and Pensioners especially. The Tories (Far Right and Right of Centre) Labour (Centre Left) and Liberale (Claim to be Centre but lean to the right) All the F.....g lot are without exception, self seeking slime-balls less honest than a bucket of 645 slugs.
They are only interested in the money they get paid, keeping their fingers in the other highly paid pies while they are MP's allegedly representing their constituents which is CRAP - The only party daring to voice all the REAL opinions of working people now is UKIP.

RE: significant of a relationship between a 25 years old and a 58 years old !!

You then invited comments !!
Here are mine

1. Improve your literacy - spelling and writing skills !!
2. Wind your bloody neck in.

3. I am also well known to those who actually know me, for calling a spade a shovel and especially when dealing with anyone looking for a scrap which your first line implies.

4. Face to face I never backed down from a trouble maker either either at work or outside it with anyone regardless of any rank, station or size and those who are my friends of many years standing hold similar views on this matter.

5. I have a lady friend whom I have known since birth and is now 38, single by choice, I am 76 and she has a PhD in Physics and can service her Vintage car having been taught by her dad and me.

6. Too many nowadays spout their mouth's off and moralize about the age gap even in public. - When we are seen out together, inevitably we get ignorant remarks from the myopic ignorant whom, if they comment to us never stand a chance with either of us.

7. That includes any Filth (Police) who stick their noses in and look suspiciously at me. -- She can and does swear as hard as I can in those circumstances and hit out verbally very hard as well.

8. She also holds a Black belt in Karate and does not hesitate to use it on morons who go a step further.

9. Having been brought up by an ex RAF Aero Engine Fitter with whom I served, since her mother died when she was 18, she always called me uncle Mike even before then.

10. Her father has always been OK with our relationship and more so since my late wife (Honourable Auntie) died in 2007, but more to the point, She is happy with it -- So when they stick their noses in we will all tell the Age Gap Moralizers just 2 words

RE: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

You are a typical ignorant gutless little man with nothing but a mouth and the poll is in bad taste. Innocent peoples lives are in jeopardy and uncertainty and such a sudden disappearance and loss of all GPS ID seems to suggest it could have been caused by a terrorist bomb. thumbs down

RE: Is George Clooney right????

YES - but with this condition - The Elgin Marbles should be sold by sealed bid auction in London strictly on behalf of the Greek People with the strict legal proviso that all monies raised be distrubuted Directly from the British Embassy and paid DIRECT to the lowest paid on proof of earnings. NOT via arrogant corrupt Banks here and there.
