RE: INSTANT MESSAGING.....

well the advantage of IM is that you can chat to someone on this site without giving them your email etc....and of course its not linked to webcam.....you can limit chatting to people your own age if you wish ...of course there are wierdos it comes with the territory ..but i have had conversations with prety normal folk too.....I mean the thing is Smoky you have to realise that there are several categories here who may not appeal to you at all including

1. scammers of all sorts.....
2. those that are married
3. those that treat this site like a chocolate box and want one off dates with tons of different women to see how many they can score
4. players who for whatever reason cannot enter relationships and connect to those living far away in order to prolong the game

I am sure there are many other categories ....

this is the online world!!!!!

I cannot comment on medical depression since i am not that way inclined and have never suffered from it ..but when i have felt down i have found the best way to get out of it is to get out and about mix with people ......keep oneself busy and think of other things outside of oneself

reading the threads and mourning for the old eu forums alot of people seem to have disappeared and with them alot of good discussion threads....only really polemical one up at the moment is phoenixs on irregular migration.......we need some good vibrant bouncy polemical threads...where are smoky and summer ........

OK i have a question for those with some time to spare or for those with a talent for psychology.....


I can understand when we feel guilty for something we believe we have done or had some connection with ...but why do we feel guilty for things we have absolutely no control over and have really nothing to do with it ....for instance when someone dies...or gets ill....you feel somehow a sense of guilt that they are bad and you are OK......do any of you ever feel any of this ...and if so what is the reason behind it

Voting no or yes for the lisbon treaty should be about whether you agree or disagree with a federal europe ...i for one do .....having another level of govern here has been all for the good and i think that despite the shortcomings of brussels the eu has achieved alot in the last 50 years and it is that which we should look at ....so that today we are the richest and most stable ( barring a few local disputes) block in the world which brings together the principles of an american free market economy with a good welfare system .....so much so is this the case that every day thousands from war strewn or impoverished lands attemtp to make their way to europe

Well Lago I think the reason there are so many couples on line here is that many of these are in long distance relationships and therefore are not able to spend that much time together..hence the rest is spent here..... whereas you are probably thinking of relationships where both are located in the same place...maybe you have not had much experience of long distance relationships..i am the same i have never maintained one and would be incapable of doing so ...but of course wish those who are doing so the best of luck and i do hope they will succeed

yeah there do seem to be alot on cs ..i have a theory about that ..we are the third most pop surface in the world..therefore the place is very claustrophobic and people everywhere..so maltese hide in the virtual world to get away from the mob
