RE: from truheart1941.

Nah....he told me he was locked up in a women's prison.

...and I suggested he drop the soap for her to pick up a few times whilst showering.

I guess he got tired of that position and sneaked past her.

RE: Have you had sucess in any online relationship?

No... ...

RE: i was born...........................

i wished I'd never been born and a few people would say similar.

As the father of my children told my mother once: "I won't be happy until that woman is in the ground".....sigh laugh

I see you got past the warden, as lovely as she was....laugh

RE: Send an anonymous message #2

I sincerely apologise for personally attacking you on the blogs recently.

There was more to it than you realise.

RE: What is worse: to love and lose or having never loved at all?

To have never loved at all would be an injustice.

I have photographs and wonderful memories I treasure.

NB: some memories I'd like to erase completely, but I guess they are there for a reason. Hopefully I have learnt a thing or two, but then again, have been known to make the same mistake more than once....several times, in fact. doh

RE: People end up single because

I agree with a lot of what has been said, but I think some people remain single because they are just too broken to step out of their comfort zone...I see this particularly with men of my own age group. They have shut up shop completely and long gone are my days of cave rescuing.

In fact, I have more or less, given up myself, because I, too, have wounds not fully healed.

It's a good thing, I enjoy my own company. I do miss the intimacy, however, of having a partner.

I'll be sure to...wine

"r" = relationship.

It's a word that invites trouble with me....laugh

RE: How many people believe in god and soul???

Ok....got that.

I've missed something though, along the way. I haven't been following threads so closely lately.

...and you're not the "bad" guy. You have a right to your opinion.

I'll leave you both to it.

Fair's fair.

Our faith in whomever/whatever we choose to believe in is very personal to us. It's about respect as long as it's not OTT, I don't see the harm in it. It can be comforting.

RE: How many people believe in god and soul???

I am by no means a religious person, but I pray there is something out there.

I am a wishful soul.

RE: self condfindence

Nothing wrong with being shy.

I, myself, am instinctively shy.

I am all gung ho on here....but am actually quite reserved in real life....take a while to warm up....or I'm guilty of putting on a face to appear brave.

I think one can be shy but quietly self assured. They know what's wrong and right.

I actually prefer shyness in people. Too much confidence can sometimes be misconstrued as arrogance.

On the other side, shyness can sometimes be interpreted as aloofness.

Depends on the company, I guess.

RE: self condfindence

Oh...doh.....you are talking about hair conditioner.....rolling on the floor laughing

RE: self condfindence

Well, you're either talking about hair-restoring or Italian for "not found".

If it's the former.....my hair takes eons to dry.

If it's the latter....self-confidence develops partly as a result of our life experiences, including childhood experiences. It's also strengthened through our achievements whether personal or other.

As Obs suggested....it's being afraid of doing scary things, but doing it anyway and learning from it.

RE: self condfindence

Your conditioning.

RE: Want Or Need?

uh oh

RE: Want Or Need?

Yep, but it would be an unhealthy decision for me.....and him....laugh right now.

No

I'm not....I just fall down crevices every now & then....or they fall into mine....giggle

I dunno. It would be nice to feel loved and told sweet things. God knows, I don't do that for myself.

Weakminded? More fearful, than weak, me think.

RE: Friends with benefits

I think that can go either way for both parties.

We don't reach our age without accumulating some crap unfortunately.

It can be more a case of being wary, fearful of getting into something new than anything else.

...or it could be that person is not in a great place to be starting anything with anyone, having too much on their plate, for instance.

Having too high a price is not always the reasoning behind a woman not stepping out more freely.

We all need to protect ourselves a little....hug

RE: Friends with benefits

Yep, agree Felix....just gotta be careful, is all.

Getting to know each other over time, should take time, and is kinda foreplay all in itself.

We matter.

I don't like being treated as an object. Been there, done that and been burnt....to a cinder....laugh

RE: Friends with benefits

....damn abbreviations....fwb/fb/nsa scold

I actually don't have a problem with a friend with benefits (EXCLUSIVE).

I mean we all got to start somewhere....and friends is a great place. We don't just jump straight from the start line into a relationship....we slow dance a bit....don't we?

I used to dive straight in the deep end.

These days I like to submerge slowly down the other end of the pool. grin
