I have photographs and wonderful memories I treasure.
NB: some memories I'd like to erase completely, but I guess they are there for a reason. Hopefully I have learnt a thing or two, but then again, have been known to make the same mistake more than once....several times, in fact.
I agree with a lot of what has been said, but I think some people remain single because they are just too broken to step out of their comfort zone...I see this particularly with men of my own age group. They have shut up shop completely and long gone are my days of cave rescuing.
In fact, I have more or less, given up myself, because I, too, have wounds not fully healed.
It's a good thing, I enjoy my own company. I do miss the intimacy, however, of having a partner.
Our faith in whomever/whatever we choose to believe in is very personal to us. It's about respect as long as it's not OTT, I don't see the harm in it. It can be comforting.
I am all gung ho on here....but am actually quite reserved in real life....take a while to warm up....or I'm guilty of putting on a face to appear brave.
I think one can be shy but quietly self assured. They know what's wrong and right.
I actually prefer shyness in people. Too much confidence can sometimes be misconstrued as arrogance.
On the other side, shyness can sometimes be interpreted as aloofness.
Well, you're either talking about hair-restoring or Italian for "not found".
If it's the former.....my hair takes eons to dry.
If it's the latter....self-confidence develops partly as a result of our life experiences, including childhood experiences. It's also strengthened through our achievements whether personal or other.
As Obs suggested....it's being afraid of doing scary things, but doing it anyway and learning from it.
I actually don't have a problem with a friend with benefits (EXCLUSIVE).
I mean we all got to start somewhere....and friends is a great place. We don't just jump straight from the start line into a relationship....we slow dance a bit....don't we?
I used to dive straight in the deep end.
These days I like to submerge slowly down the other end of the pool.
RE: from truheart1941.
Nah....he told me he was locked up in a women's prison....and I suggested he drop the soap for her to pick up a few times whilst showering.
I guess he got tired of that position and sneaked past her.
