I like it here in NZ....it offers a moderate climate....the scenery is spectacular as are the beaches.
You haven't listed it in your list OP....as do most. We are not OIstralyan....
The only downside is not having specialised medical servies with certain conditions as would be offering in America.
Once my daughter recovers(I'm hopeful of a miracle) and my son leaves home, I think I'd like to live on a small south pacific island for a time....just to get away from it all for a bit. Just me and the coconut trees....and bananas....a pillow or two....a king sized bed.....a mosquito net....and a special man would be nice.....someone to throw coconuts at....
Agree....skyping is very helpful to see if there is a possibility of any chemistry and whether to take things further or not.
I think the sooner the meet, after this point, the better, really....otherwise unrealistic expectations can build(I'm referring to local dating sites....not this website, as too many factors come into play, such as distance, finances and time available to travel).
We can certainly be introduced over the internet, but a face-to-face meeting and spending time together is the only way to determine how things will go.
Long distance online relationships without any physical contact.....a fantasy really.
