I haven't read the entire thread.

I'm tired. It would do my head in I think. Can I be excused?

..but to answer your question in simplicity....we all like to think we make the right decision given the circumstances in that moment. We may not have a choice to make nor have time to deliberate a decision thoroughly, but a decision is made, regardless, and we tend to believe it is right one.

Of course, hindsight is a wonderful thing....or is it?

With time circumstances can change and we begin to wonder if we made the wrong decision, but this realisation usually comes at a later date. In the moment we do what we think is right.

Yes, like Elvis, I knew where I was, what I was doing at the time I heard of their deaths.

He was probably the most successful of the Beatles after they split with his music, though, of course, Paul McCartney did pretty well but wasn't a fan of his stuff quite as much. I liked a little of George Harrison's music.

It WAS a sad day when that deranged madman shot him down.

He(John Lennon) just seemed like such a non-confrontational laid-back sort too.
