before the site instituted that waiting-Period,People used to make Spam-and-Scamthreads. Became almost a Cottage-Industry for those banned from the site or having given a timeout! Having to wait a week would make it a lot less interesting for Scammers to get on CS,since they had to wait seven days to start their activity,seven days,also prevented some people creating half a dozen Profiles to raise havoc in the Forums,as some Californian regularly used to do!
