REMINDS ME of a story of a son who had nothing nice to sat at his fathers funeral, and it wasn'y until about 20 years after his fathers death, that he was able to visit his grave, and say,
Yes I save the aluminum ,copper, brass, ect ....the rest of the scrap goes to my help and they save it up till the price goes up then they haul it in ....Ok need Mayo ...be back later....play nice folks ....[/quote
I HELPED one of my friends once,he does that too,he had a huge backyard filled with metal bike parts, car metal parts,my job was to seperate the disater of metal in this huge pile, had a sledgehammer to knock off the metal pieces of some microwaves, kept the metal piece, and tossed the rest of the microwave into a container. What a messy job.
Another time,I had to tell a couple of these guys,'Hey,get away from my scaffold frames, they were about to toss them into they're pick up,got to the job site, just in time.'
There's two takes on it. I was taught not to judge others, but I was also taught that if I DON'T JUDGE OTHERS,how can I COMPARE MY life to others and what I want to be or not be like.
Then there's a third take on it,that if I keep the focus on me and what;s going on in my life,I'll be too busy working on me to worry about what's going on in others.
I kinda like the third one best.
Do I practice it all the time??no.
In the final analysis,it isn't what you do or don't do that you'll be judged,
It's what you are,and if you're being is good, then you'll be rightly judged.
