I've had so many 'cars of dubious character' over the years.
One that comes to mind was a 1967 ford Anglia. The rear spring hangers had come through the boot (trunk) floor so the rear wheels were on the wheel arches. To fix this i jacked the car up and wedged the protruding springs with a couple of blocks of wood agianst the boot lid. Let the car down off the jacks and hey presto fixed. That was of couse untill i got pulled by the police and they wanted to look in the boot. One of them opened the boot and two pieces of four by two went flying skywards as my poor Anglia sank to its knees. Hmm, think they gave me a ticket.
It seems to me that the biggest problems we have here in the uk with' some' drugs are down to the fact that they ARE illegal.
The authorities use up vast rescources to fight the 'drugs war' to no avail.
In fact this just perpetuates the status quo.
The drug barons get richer, the dealers more desperate and the users mug and steal.
Maybe, just maybe, if we were to review the concept of an illeagal drug, we may have the time and energy to try and understand why so many people want to take so many drugs in the first place.
Never doubted you for a minute. But i know what you mean, i gave up looking sometime ago. I guess i'm too set in my ways now and would be surprised if i could find anyone who could put up with me. Or if i could put up with them for that matter.
President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.
Secretly, the Bush administration is pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA politically, setting the stage for a North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.
President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.
The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:
