RE: What does it mean when someone says, “always miss you.”

someone says "Always miss you" = they are being kind...to make the other person feel better about not seeing them for a while.. similar to "How are you"!
Easier to say I always miss you instead of doing something about being with that person more often..

RE: Do you eat raw garlic?

seriously??? where did you get that info from...

Consuming garlic on a daily basis (in food or raw) helps to lower cholesterol levels because of the anti-oxidant properties of Allicin. It is also immensely beneficial to regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels. ... It is imperative to consume garlic raw or semi-cooked to derive any of its benefits.

RE: ADL : The Anti Defamation League

The Anti Defamation League (ADL) is a religious organisation.... it is an international Jewish non-governmental organisation based in the United States. The ADL was created as a civil rights advocacy group in 1913, historical primary focus has been fighting anti-Semitism.

However, the organisation has/is criticized for acting more as a left-leaning pressure group than a non-partisan anti-Semitism watchdog and it focuses its efforts against political conservatives. (i.e. Anti Trump and conservatives)

The ADL does not publicly disclose the identity its donors.

Much can be said about the ADL but people need to do a lot more research themselves... Please familiarise yourself as the ADL has a LOT of influence in the Democrats.

RE: Has Anyone Here Had Surgery On Their Eyes to Remove Cataracts

Thank you .. cheers

RE: Has Anyone Here Had Surgery On Their Eyes to Remove Cataracts

I am watching/reading this thread with a lot of interest, as the last time I had my eyes checked the optometrist told me that eventually I will need laser surgery, how long? they were not sure... just depends on how quickly the cataracts grow...
My mother also had laser surgery, due to cataracts, in her 70's and she didn't need to wear glasses at all after that...

RE: Allowances

I never received 'pocket money' I was still required to do chores, pitch in with what ever needed to be done at home...
It was never even thought of to get 'paid' to do every day tasks.. It is what a family does. Bedrooms were kept tidy etc... by us kids. Sat morning was always cleaning day.. vacuuming, washing floors.. etc etc...

Things were purchased as we "needed".. if there were any clothes that I wanted my mother would purchase the fabric and I learned to make them myself...

At 15 I started to work a couple of days after school and Saturday morning, at a chocolate store.

My two boys, also, were required to help out in the house.. clean their rooms etc...it was just something everyone just 'did' .... However, when they turned 8 they were given a weekly allowance - depending on their age (i.e. 8 yr old = $8 10 yr old =$10 and so forth) it was their money to do what ever they wanted.

I don't know.. if I was right or wrong... dunno Oh well whatever, they are both saving to buy their first house..
